📺 I have been watching Ruthless on BET+ because I noticed Matt Cedeño as the lead. He used to play Brandon Walker on Days of Our Lives and he was such an engaging actor. I figured this show would be good too and I haven’t been disappointed. It’s a drama about a religious cult. It has made me reflect on what kind of vibes I present to strangers. The cult members make trips into the city to recruit new members and they observe people at parks, grocery store etc. They profile people who they think would assimilate into their way of life. The new recruits always seem to be people who are showing vulnerability like abuse, drug addiction or orphaned people. It made me think what strangers notice about me when I’m just walking around a grocery store. What does my face or body language communicate to predators? I’m enjoying this show tremendously! 📚🎧 Finished listening The Fastest Way to Fall by @nicwillwrites and it really inspired me to journal about eating and exercise as way to examine my motivations and feelings. What an effective way to keep focused. My second audiobook She’s Got Soul by @ajathewriter and I loved the very opinionated Zola. What an entertaining rom com. I will be listening to book 2. Now I have to find my next audiobook!
