In his more idle moments working in the studio, Yeong often pondered why he went such long stretches of time without releasing music for himself. After all, he loved the music-making process, regardless of the many sleepless, coffee-fueled nights he’d end up having all the while.
And then the all-too-familiar feelings would set in. The shortness of breath, the shaky hands - as well as the encroaching thought that this was going to be the time that everything went wrong. That the dream was over and it was time to wake up a world away from the place he'd made his home for the past 14 years. That would’ve been the reason why.
He had to get away for a bit - that always helped to get the feeling to subside. So he threw on a hoodie and was out the door. He should have been paying more attention to where he was going, because in wheeling around a corner, he nearly crashed into someone walking the opposite direction. “Ah, sorry about that--” Yeong apologized quickly, giving a polite bow.
