As summer already seems to be in full force obviously this is going to be an annual reminder to just be careful with anything that could possibly ignite. I’m aware campfires and s’mores are fun and I encourage them, as long as it’s done safely. Most fires are preventable and summer is no fun if we’re covered in smoke smog. Be safe, have fun, don’t make my job harder, please.

If I believed in any higher power of sorts, I would say it does not want me dating. The night at Breadstix was still really young when I got a text saying my daughter had spiked a fever. Luckily, I don’t believe in that, but this wasn’t the best start to my weekend, that’s for sure.

Tonight was one night I was entirely grateful for technology. Took Sophia on our weekly grocery run, all was well and we even got in and out with time to spare. It wasn’t until I was paying when I realized I forgot my wallet. I am so glad that I actually let one of the younger firefighters put Apple Pay on my phone because if we’d had to have left without the Oreos I think the world would have imploded.
