Ryou wasn’t sure why he was given such a simple task to follow out. To find the owner of this paper and give it to them. It seemed easier for the teacher- they knew all the students, right? But, apparently this task was handed off to him under the excuse of a way for him to better know the others in his class. Which was fine, except...he still hadn’t managed to put most names and faces together.

A sigh is let out. It’s not a troublesome task, but he doesn’t want to accidentally get the wrong person. He’d sought to ask Yugi and the others, but they’d been preoccupied. That left him on his own, thinking and thinking of who this Lenny was. He decided to take a gamble. If he couldn’t find them on the first try, at least he’d be able to ask for their help. So, he decides to approach one of the students, one who is on her own.

“Excuse me, but is your name Lenny?”

Summer Activities Prompts!

Setting up a tent was...harder than he thought. It’s not like he was unfamiliar with sleeping in a tent or being in one, but setting one up just didn’t fair well for him. If only he had practiced, but thankfully he wasn’t alone in this project. Having help proved to make things so much easier. If Ryou was alone, he might still be trying to set it up.

“It should be getting dark soon...” He murmurs. The sun was already setting, casting an orange glow across the sky. Soon the darkness would grow and devour the sky. Then their camp would be complete! At least once they set up the small fire- or use a lantern for light. They didn’t have to worry too much considering they weren’t out in the forest. It lessened the worry that would normally come with camping if something didn’t go right or something was forgotten. 

“Thanks again for inviting me. I...haven’t done something like this in a while.” He says while scratching the back of his head. He feels like he might be a little rusty for this camping ‘trip’ but he’s ready to have some snacks and enjoy the night under the stars.

WORD PROMPTS COMPILATION

The girl’s company was welcomed. He didn’t mind her sitting beside her as he went messed around with some clay figurines. It might have been dull to most, at least he assumed so, most people didn’t care for the creation process they just wanted the final product, but Lenny had wanted to see what he was making. Getting too caught up in his little project, he hadn’t noticed the girl fall silent. He should have tore his gaze away just for a second to see how she was.

Instead, he felt the girl’s head rest against his shoulder, which quickly snapped him out of his focus. The boy tensed up, surprised that she had gotten this close. Ryou turns his head to see if she knew what she was doing, but...she hadn’t moved. He could only guess by her breathing that she was...tired? Sleeping? Or about to anyway.

Ah, what to do now. He isn’t the type that can lift someone up...Well, he can stay like this for a while, see if he can work while not waking her. Hopefully he doesn’t bother her while she’s like this. Though maybe he should try waking her up...He’ll try that in a few minutes.

Late Night Wanderings Sentence Starters

“I don’t think so.” 

Ryou had made sure this was the right neighborhood and the right house multiple times before making the venture out this late. It probably would have been best- smarter for him to go during the day. But were was the fun and excitement of looking for a haunted house during the day? Investigating at night was the only way.

But her question makes him doubt if he is on the right track. He was certain that he’d followed directions, and if he was right the house should be nearby.

“Actually...I might have lost my way. I’m trying to look for a certain house. It’s kinda famous here.”

It was easy to get wrapped up in a project and ignore the world outside. When the world started to darkened, he only assumed it was getting late, which wasn’t too much of an issue for him. Ryou had no problem walking in the night, regardless of the weather. And when he heard the wind picking up, he shoved it off as nothing. It would just be a little more windy than usual.

“Oh...” Is all that comes from him when he realizes that getting out of here...wasn’t going to be possible. Not unless if he was willing to turn into a human popsicle. The same could be said for the girl next to him. “I guess we’re stuck in here?”

"Treat or Treat~" Kaiba days in a sing-song way. The devil decided to dress like a fox spirit, in a spider lily embroidered kimono. Yet he was still devilish at heart. "Please give a treat or I'll give you a nasty trick. I really don't want to hurt my best friend."

“Oh, what a shame it seems I won’t get tricked by you.” Ryou brushes aside his dark hood so he can better see Kaiba’s costume along with showing off the skeleton face paint he had tried perfecting for tonight. At least the bones painted on his hands hadn’t been wiped off by the sleeves of his robe. He has to set aside the oar so he could pull out a chocolate coin for the other. “Don’t come back for more.”

Kaiba's fist rolls down the wall and it goes back to fold over his chest. Another moment passes and he nods. "It's acceptable." His tantrum was done now that he got what he wanted. Now he smiles at his companion as if nothing happened. "I'm glad. Seeing my best friend happy makes me happy."

Ryou had to wonder if Kaiba was going to accept that or not. Most wouldn’t. And he’s thankful he’s not forced to try harder. Not like he would anyway. At least he was content- that made one of them.

“Great! Glad that’s all resolved.“

"I give gifts, I give you care, attention. I give you what the Greeks would call Agápe!" Kaiba says, slamming his fist against the wall. If he actually had any strength it might've been intimidating. /Might've./ "And yet you still reject my good feelings and tidings. You're not a good friend." He ends with a pout. "I am a forgiving person. And I will make you be a good person. Even if I have to break a few fingers to get a /thank you/."

He watches this tantrum play out and sighs. He never asked for...any of that. It was forced upon him and here he was still dealing with it. Although he wants to laugh at that ‘make you be a good person’ comment he holds his breath. It might not do him any good if he did.

“If all you wanted was a thank you then...thank you.” There is no sincerity in his voice. It was said just to be said. “Is that good enough for you?”
