faris and ryszarda are kind of a fascinating dynamic to me and i haven't really seen anyone depict them the way i imagine them; it's easy to pigeonhole faris into a kuu/tsundere type of archetype but i think he's more the type of character who would say really romantic(?) and loving things with a straight face while also not really registering it as something romantic himself

their contrasting emphases on intuition and facts is also just fun to think about because ryszarda is someone who lacks self confidence but is sharp enough to tell when someone is being nice to her out of pity which is why she pairs nicely with faris, who's a character who will only say what he thinks/knows is true. i think regina has some similarities to him in this regard, and i personally find it hard to believe that ryszarda was ever very apprehensive about her?

on the other side because of ryszarda's ability to trust in faris' words he's able to work with her even if their personalities don't seem to mesh well... like i think the reason ryszarda is able to get along so well with faris while pinon is not is because pinon is the kind of person who takes things at face value. always thought it was interesting that faris' adventurer story creates a rift between them that never actually gets resolved but i think it just goes to show how incompatible they are

because of all this i find it a little difficult to see faris and ryszarda as anything resembling a normal couple because faris just feels so ill-fitted for romance lol... don't know if i would say i see him as aroace but it's somewhere along those lines i guess
