MIRAGE actor NAM EUNTAE and ATHENA of AEON’s MOON YEONHEE a little too close on the set of RHYTHMS’ TRAIN TO BUSAN
April 14th was the official date of Train to Busan casting, which Rhythms will be filming from the 20th until May the 2nd. Many actors and idols such as Jo Dahye, Choi Haesoo, and Jamie Jung. But it seems there has been something fishy going on between two of the leads of the movie, Moon Yeonhee and Nam Euntae.
Yeonhee is an idol under Prime that debuted with AEON as the “Athena”. She has made her name in the business as “The Nation’s Lady” which we can say has been called into question given her actions upon the set of Train to Busan in the past few weeks. Yeonhee is playing Jin-hee, the love interest of Yong-guk who is played by G-ZER0’s Jamie Jung, while Nam Euntae is playing the lead role of Seok-woo.
The clean image of the idol has been part of what has kept her and her group afloat, as well as the clean images of the other idols within the group. But sources say she has been seen a little too close to Mirage actor Nam Euntae on the set, and their behavior towards each other is being called into question. The couple had been seen back in 2011 together a bit more than the usual, but no rumors had surfaced because everyone had higher standards for Yeonhee. Yet, with them being casted into the same upcoming movie, sources have said that the two of them have been hanging around each other a lot more lately, and they even feel the two of them might be hiding something from the public. Others say they are just being friendly cast members, as they were only brought together again by the movie.
While Yeonhee has been held as one of the cleanest idols so far, and a scandal like this could make or break her career given it is being held on her record. Train to Busan is planning to promote on May the 2nd and premiering on May the 13th.
Do you think Yeonhee’s career is on the line with this kind of scandal arising? And do you think her and Euntae have something they’re hiding? Share you opinion below!

DISPATCH, (07/13/17): Prime Media has officially released information about soloist Kim Jihye, also known as Kim Nari, on the official website! Nari is an ‘90 liner and has been beloved by fans since her debut in 2011. Find out more about Nari below!
I, (KIM JIHYE), have read and understand the terms and conditions as my position of (SOLOIST) and agree to honor the standards that are to be expected of me as an employee of (PRIME RECORDS).
OOC INFORMATION
Preferred name: Veronica
Pronouns: She / her
Timezone: Currently GMT+2, soon back to GMT+1
Other muses: n/a
IC INFORMATION
Faceclaim: Hong Jinyoung
Name: Kim Jihye
Stage name (if applicable): Kim Nari
Idol concept: When Jihye made her debut as a singer, it was decided that she should play on her strengths as Kim Nari, the young and pretty trot singer. She was to be upbeat and outgoing, laugh loudly and smile brightly – and in every way try to as much of a contrast to the rather dull and oldish world of trot as she possibly could. Nari’s image was shaped into one of ”the nation’s flower”: beauty, youth and a bit of flirty fun.
At first, it was the easiest thing in the world. She faced her new career bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, excited to meet new people, appear on TV-shows and perform her music. Her concept as an artist was shaped around her and she thrived for the first couple of years.
Then, slowly, the novelty of idol life wore off. Jihye’s personality had shifted, turning colder and more cynic with the realization that her life would forever be scrutinized by the media. Her wide smiles turned stiff, the winks she had always been so generous with became forced, and her bright and bubbly laugh morphed into something high-pitched and fake. Instead of mirroring the happy-go-lucky person she was at debut, it all turned into an act, and Jihye grew to hate the exaggeratedly cheery Kim Nari that she had to be in front of the cameras.
Birth date and age: August 9, 1990 – currently 26 years old
Company name: Prime Records
Group Name (if applicable): n/a
Group Position (if applicable): soloist
Strengths: Jihye’s main strengths are her singing and her versatility. She knows how to adapt her style and technique to easily fit the song, and is decent both at trot and pop music. Although not an excellent dancer, she is still very quick at picking up choreography and as she is good at capturing an audience, she is a great performer.
Weaknesses: Jihye tends to cave in under pressure, no matter if it is judgement and criticism from others, or if it is her own ambition and perfectionism that makes her struggle with a task. Neither her vocal range or her dancing abilities could be described as impressive. Recently, she has also been struggling slightly to keep up her image in shows and in front of fans.
Positive traits: Ambitious, Intelligent, Loyal
Negative traits: Pessimistic, Selfish, Harsh
PERSONAL HISTORY
• 1990 She is her parents’ first (and will end up being their only) child. They name her Jihye, meaning wisdom, thinking that intelligence and wisdom might be the only thing that could bring their child good fortune. The couple might not be rich nor live in a grand house, but they have their daughter and they love her and that is all that counts.
For as long as Jihye can remember, both her house and the family restaurant have been filled with music. Her mother seems to have a different soundtrack for every house chore and only turns the volume down when Jihye needs to concentrate on her homework, rather than on humming along. And every time the girl walks into her parents naengmyeon restaurant, she ends up sitting by the counter singing duets with her father, the repertoire ranging from nursery rhymes to the latest songs by her parents favourite singers.
• 2002 Jihye has just turned twelve years old, and she has found out that she likes nothing as much as she likes being in the spotlight. In school she’s loud and talkative, and she surrounds herself with quite a big group of friends, all of them as thick as thieves. Together they put on elaborate plays and concerts in the school yard, forcing all their class mates to watch them perform. The quality of the acts may vary (and the songs Jihye sings always sound a bit dated compared to the h.o.t. and fin.k.l. songs performed by her friends), but they all have a lot of fun. Jihye has started to dream about a life where she could do this every day – being famous and able to sing and act for work sounds like the most amazing thing one could do!
• 2005 For the first time in her life, Jihye feels almost lonely. Her closest friends have all found themselves boyfriends, and somehow they no longer have any time for her. Her mother’s well-meant pep talks don’t manage to cheer her up very much either (”You will find a boyfriend too soon” – well maybe she didn’t want to!). And what do you say when your friends ask you if there’s someone you like, when you can’t tell them the truth without risking them finding you weird or disgusting? Jihye finds support and comfort in music instead, hiding in a corner of their restaurant with headphones on, letting the songs wash away all of her troubles.
• 2008 Jihye did surprisingly well on the college entrance exams, and managed to get into a rather good university. She plans to major in chemical engineering, although she struggles to see herself actually working with anything related to chemistry in the future. She still hasn’t quite managed to let go of her childhood dream though, still wishing for a life where performing could take center stage. It just won’t work out, not with the hours she has to put into studying, or helping out at her parents’ restaurant.
•2011 At last she takes the big step and auditions for an entertainment company. Mirage is a new company and, to be quite honest, Jihye isn’t exactly sure of what she is getting herself into. She auditions as an actress, knowing that there has been rumors of idol groups in the making. She figures that if acting isn’t right for her, they might turn her into an idol trainee instead – she will trust their judgement as doesn’t know herself what she is best suited for. After only two months of training she is casted in a supporting role in her first drama. Despite doing her very best, her high hopes of excellent critiques take a plunge as her performance passes by almost unnoticed by the press. Following that drama, it almost seems as if Mirage has forgotten about her, and after months of being sent to no castings at all, she manages to terminate her contract.
Deciding that acting might not have been her destiny, Jihye goes on to audition for another company only weeks later. Surprisingly, Prime Records take her on, despite her singing one of her mother’s favourite old trot songs for her audition. The contrast between her age and the music she sings so very well is what ultimately lands her the contract, and she has never been happier than now – holding in her hands a ticket to a life of music and fame.
• 2012 There is much for her to learn, never having received proper training before. That doesn’t prove much of an issue though, as she is a quick learner and easily follows both the instructions of her vocal coach and the simple choreographies she is set to practice. Jihye doesn’t blend too well with the other trainees, but that doesn’t bother her too much. She is set to debut as a soloist after all, and with all the training that has do be done, she doesn’t exactly have the time to be nice and friendly to everyone all the time.
Come late 2012, she is finally ready to debut. The song is recorded and the music video planned out – there is only one thing left for her to do. She needs a stage name, something that stands out more to the public than her own name. Having the most popular name of your age group is not a sure way to get remembered, let’s be honest. She settles on Kim Nari, naming herself after her favourite flower – the lily.
• 2014 The debut of Kim Nari two years ago had been a bigger success than Jihye could ever have imagined. At first it had all been great fun – everything was new, shiny and exciting. Then, as she got used to it all, she started to realize that everything wasn’t glitz and glamour. She is completely exhausted, sick and tired of performing the same song more times in one week than she can count, and fed up with having to be careful at all times not to cause negative headlines. The straw to break the donkey’s back is Jihye falling head over heals in love with one of her stylists, only to realize that even if the feelings were to be mutual, she could never act on them. There is too much to lose, and if it would be leaked to the press it would all be far worse than a simple dating scandal.
She turns to her work to try and distract herself, but it is rumored among staff both at Prime and and various television companies that the once so easy-going Kim Nari has turned rather hars and difficult to work with.
• 2016 Although she knows she has been lucky, being signed at a company that doesn’t try to work her until she collapses, it all becomes too much for Jihye. She goes on a hiatus (although nothing is announced officially), only releasing the occasional collaboration with company friends along the way. It was very much needed, as she struggles to paint on her cheery image as Kim Nari even for short periods of time. Most of her time is still spent working on new projects at the company building, but she is allowing herself to relax for once and not beat herself up for not working hard enough, being good enough. She finally finishes her studies and graduates as a chemical engineer – she didn’t want to leave it unfinished. For the first time in a couple of years, there is a spring to her step and a smile on her face on the regular.
• 2017 More than two years have passed since her last solo promotions, and Jihye knows it is time for her to get back out in the spotlight. To be fair she misses the performances, the feeling of singing in front of people who have come just to see her. She doesn’t regret her career path in the slightest. What she isn’t looking forward to is having to sit in interviews and tv shows and pretend to be the happiest, most outgoing person in the industry. Jihye grows tired only thinking about it – yet she is afraid of the reactions any deviation from her image might bring. A change now, when she has been gone for so long, might be devastating. No, Jihye has to stick to what works, and that means slowly easing back into the saccharine Kim Nari: young, beautiful, fun and flirty trot singer – even though the girl feels anything but rosy pink and happy inside.
DISPATCH, 07/08/17: Prime Media has officially released information about “Orion,” main rapper, lead dancer, and vocalist, Jung Wooseung, also known as Seung, on AEON’s official website! Wooseung is a ‘93 liner and has been beloved by fans since his debut in 2016. Find out more about Wooseung below!
I, JUNG WOO SEUNG, have read and understand the terms and conditions as my position of MAIN RAPPER, LEAD DANCER, VOCALIST and agree to honor the standards that are to be expected of me as an employee of PRIME.
OOC INFORMATION
Preferred name: Gee
Pronouns: She/Her, They
Timezone: PST
Other muses: N/A
IC INFORMATION
Faceclaim: Jung Jaewon (ONE)
Name: Jung Woo Seung
Stage name (if applicable): Seung, Orion, sikflo
Points Sorting: +5 rap, +4 dancing, +1 singing
Birth date and age: October 4, 1993 (International age: 23, Korean age: 25)
Company name: Prime
Group Name (if applicable): Aeon
Group Position (if applicable): Main rapper, lead dancer, and vocalist
Strengths: Woo Seung is an amazing rapper. After training, he has developed into a well-rounded performer who can support the group. When he’s on stage, he exudes confidence and charisma. When it comes to training, he’s disciplined. He’s usually the last to leave the practices. Overall, he’s a chill dude.
Weaknesses: In public, he can come off a little shy and quiet. Some fans who have met him think he’s aloof. His public image can use a bit more work. He also tends to be a perfectionist. He’s also overcritical of himself, which can cause him to become nervous or anxious.
Negative traits: harsh / critical, timid / shy, perfectionist to a fault
PERSONAL HISTORY
Woo Seung grew up in a fairly normal family consisting of his father, his mother, and his older sister. For the most part, he was born and raised in Seoul. He has always loved hip hop music. When he entered high school, he studied abroad in New York for a couple of years. He lived in New York as an exchange student under his host family. His love for rap only blossomed while studying in Amerca. He regularly participated in freestyle rap competitions held on the streets. He started out as an underground rapper at the tender age of fifteen. He frequently posted his mixtapes online and collaborated with his friends. He adopted the artist name “sikflo”, which was suggested to him by his friends.
After finishing high school, he moved back to Korea. His parents wanted him to go to college, but he wanted to pursue his music career. He decided that the best way to move forward was to audition at an entertainment company. His parents made a deal with him: if he passes the auditions, he can pursue his rap career. He sent some of his music to well-known hip-hop entertainment labels, but he was later sent multiple rejection emails. As a last resort, his sister suggested that he should audition for Prime Records.
He passed the auditions and was made a trainee. He wasn’t just rapping. Prime also put him through dance and vocal training just like all the other trainees. During his free time, he still experimented with new beats and rhymes. Just before he debuted, he went on a popular hip hop variety show, called Show Me the Money. During the individual stage auditions, the judges recognized Woo Seung as a force to be reckoned with. He made it pretty far into the competition, performing on the big stage once. The song he promoted with the show hit the top of the charts as soon as it became available to stream.
Woo Seung wasn’t too happy when the management decided to debut him as an idol. However, the group needed a main rapper. Initially, he was against debuting in an idol group because he had always thought that idols were frauds. Their images were basically “manufactured.” Besides, he was never really into K-pop as a genre. He reluctantly rapped in the group’s first demo. When the final product was presented to the members, he was genuinely surprised. He got to write his own raps, and the management even promised him that he will have more opportunities for hip hop solos in the future. He was the last member to join Aeon. He wasn’t forced to change his image whatsoever. The only thing that was given to him was his stage name, Orion. Many of his fans from Show Me the Money also supported his debut. He’s still working on making his mark on the Korean hip hop industry as some famous rappers have already featured him on their tracks. It is debatable whether he has changed his thoughts about idols, but he’s constantly working hard for the group.
DISPATCH, 07/08/17: Prime Media has officially released information about “Nyx,” main dancer and lead vocalist, Choi Mirae, on AEON’s official website! Mirae is a ‘98 liner and has been beloved by fans since her debut in 2016. Find out more about Mirae below!

IC INFORMATION
Faceclaim: Kang Yebin
Name: Choi Mirae
Stage name (if applicable): n/a
Idol concept: wild and rambunctious were always how mirae’s parents described her as a child, and as she grew she only became more excitable. her upbringing always was filled with singing, dancing, and laughing. there was never a dull moment in her house, and so as she grew up she came to be a very loud, open person. she will always be fearless.
Points Sorting:
acting: 1
dancing: 3
rapping: 1
singing: 3
concept: 2
Birth date and age: 980504 / 19
Company name: PRIME
Group Name (if applicable): AEON
Group Position (if applicable): NYX - main dancer and lead vocals
Strengths:
dancing: mirae grew up around loud, artistic people, and mirae definitely took after her family. She drew, danced, sang, everything a child does, but her passion lied with dancing. Her parents allowed her to join studios from the time she was 4, and watched her blossom as she grew. They watched as the clumsy wrong steps turned into graceful spins, and into skilled popping and shifting of her body.
variety: being the loud, rambunctious person that she is, she tends to do well on variety shows, the hosts always loving her will to do anything. She’s not afraid to get ugly and she’s not afraid to get silly. She’s not afraid to get overly cute with aegyo or overly sexy when dancing to other group songs.
Weaknesses:
self control: the energy that’s constantly flowing through mirae causes her to not be able to focus on tasks. her self discipline was never the best, even as a child, her grades in school suffered, her parents were confused by her disoriented focus. Her self control slowly is getting better but is still something that she needs to control
oversharing: mirae is a chatterbox, which isn’t always a bad thing, but when it comes to secrets she can rarely keep them. she forces herself to stay quiet about a comeback but she may spill some other secrets in the time she’s holding the big secret down.
busan was home to many famous people, and mirae always considered herself to be lucky to be from such a beautiful city. growing up with her older siblings was one of the greatest things to happen to her. her two older sisters were constantly singing and dancing with the younger, feeding the already high energy she possessed. If you asked mirae if her and her sisters were ever quiet, the answer would be no.
ii. so you think you can dance?;
when mirae turned five her mother decided it would be smart to focus the loud childs energy on something productive. she knew her daughter had a strong passion for dancing, she would watch mirae dance to any song that came on the radio or tv. mirae would just dance, it honestly didn’t matter the type of music to her. her mother saw this spark inside her and decided to place her daughter in a dance school, wanting to hopefully take some energy. the dance school only made mirae more excitable, constantly practicing and singing along to every song.
iii. y=mx+b;
school was constantly an issue for mirae, she had issues focusing and could only think about dancing and singing. she had found her passion so young she had failed to really think about anything besides those things. she couldn’t focus on the work, none of it made sense to her, but dance made sense to her.
iv. the first audition;
mirae’s mother realized her daughter wasn’t meant for school, and on her thirteenth birthday she told her that she had her first audition for an idol company, and mirae was ecstatic. Although she didn’t make the first audition she didn’t give up. she made it her third audition and stayed for a year before she terminated the contract. her mother was unhappy with how her daughter was being treated and made her leave.
v. the new home;
when mirae was sixteen she finally made it into PRIME. For the two years she wasn’t under a company mirae realized exactly what her dream was, she wanted to debut and would do anything to do just that, she wanted to be someone, because she had never felt like anyone till she sang and danced.
DISPATCH, 06/25/17: Prime Media has officially released information about “Eros,” main dancer, lead rapper, and vocalist, Choi Haesoo, on AEON’s official website! Haesoo is a ‘93 liner and has been beloved by fans since his debut in 2016. Find out more about Haesoo below!
I, CHOI HAESOO, have read and understand the terms and conditions as my position of EROS and agree to honor the standards that are to be expected of me as an employee of PRIME RECORDS.
OOC INFORMATION
Preferred name: steph.
Pronouns: she/her.
Timezone: cst.
Other muses: none applicable.
IC INFORMATION
Faceclaim: kim jongin or “kai” of exo.
Name: choi haesoo.
Stage name: none.
Idol concept: they were given the concept of being the “joker” of the group as well as being the foundation. though this isn’t necessarily a lie, haesoo is so much more than friendly jokes and a steel-strong shoulder to lean on because what the public hasn’t understood yet is how hard of a worker that haesoo has been to get that role of eros, all the strenuous nights of practicing alone in their company’s dance rooms or the amount of the tears shed from exhaustion. their concept is partly true to the point where haesoo has felt no need to hide his childish and care-free personality to their fans, letting all of his teenage ways and unadulterated filters let loose, but behind closed doors, he’s more human and more mature to none other than his members.
Birth date and age: november 17, 1993 / twenty-three.
Company name: prime records.
Group Name: aeon.
Group Position: eros / main dancer, lead rapper, vocalist.
Strengths:
.o1 strength !! dancing.
↪ he came to dance so he stays to dance. haesoo’s been dancing since he was practically a toddler, from ballet or hip-hop, it never mattered, but dreams of bringing his dance to life through other people became a burning passion that would never die. dancing is the only thing that he’s ever been confident in because he dedicates long, hard hours towards the activity –– especially when looked for, everyone knows to find the main dancer practicing in one of prime’s practice rooms, dancing until his feet are bled sore and mind went numb. dance is definitely a strength for haesoo because dance isn’t a hobby, it’s his lifestyle. and whether it be cooperating in making prime’s choreography or creating his own at times, haesoo knows he could really divulge into that special area while being a main dancer of a co-ed group. it’s close enough to his dream that he’ll ever get.
.o2 strength !! fan service.
↪ true to his concept, haesoo is one of the members who’s very outgoing out of the bunch; someone who’s the type to not have grown out of his teenage and rebellious ways, and to have fun with the fact that he’s a rising star, never too cocky nor to reserved. fans admire his passion to keep in touch with aeon’s fans whether it’s through instagram, twitter, or everything in between but haesoo knows that he didn’t climb his way to the top to just forget about the people who’s brought them there. it also helps that he’s a relatively good english speaker, all those trainee years desperately teaching himself for the sake of maybe going international, but haesoo tries his best to connect with his fans just how he would expect if he was a fan himself. fans admire his prospect of him for this and in return, haesoo hopes that aeon’s fans never stop believing in his musical passion as well.
Weaknesses:
.o1 weakness !! vocalist.
↪ a man who can dance, rap, and be a good host towards a group’s fans were called something of a triple threat in prime records; someone who can go far in the entertainment business with all three of those traits. but that’s the thing –– that’s all choi haesoo could really do. he didn’t originally audition to be a vocalist nor did he ever think he would be put in a group that would maximize his english skills but once again, prime always keeps him on his toes. it took years of hard training and the push of his company to even belt out a single steady note, whether it be for backup vocals or to sing a verse of one of their songs, but haesoo still struggles with his vocals to this day and despite the constant reassurances from his group mates and fans that you’ve really improved, haesoo, really, the male doesn’t feel like he’s even made one a single improvement towards being a vocalist for aeon.
.o2 weakness !! maintaining well-being.
↪ while one of haesoo’s strengths is being able to be a hardworking idol, those kinds of traits has it’s consequences and the certain member consequence tends to be selflessness. it’s not every day like a guy like him, someone who just took a couple of ballet and jazz classes as a kid, be scouted by prime records; he consider being in the group as a blessing and despite his parents’ worries during his trainee days if he’s fit enough for the idol life, haesoo made it his motivation in life to prove them wrong. prime records, his family, the anti-fans –– all his motivation to continue to grind, grind, grind until he’s perfected every move and could hit every note of aeon’s raps. it requires long hours, lessened hours of sleep, and continuous straining on his muscles; his manager and group mates all worry for him but he constantly reassures him that it’s fine because it’s all part of the job, right?
Positive traits: stoic, beguile, and progressive.
Negative traits: choleric, benevolence, and temperamental.
PERSONAL HISTORY
i.
you’re a wicked child, a terribly wicked child. you have that foul glint in your pitch black eyes; you’re going to swallow the world right up with that immoral smirk, wicked child.
ii.
when choi haesoo was five, he fell in love with the art of ballet.
papers, magazines, commercials, all of local ballet productions and haesoo was like a child who’s achieved his highest potential, with wide eyes and nimble feet, the attraction was inevitable. he would coo and awe over the ballerinas’ light steps, always and ever failing at his own attempts to dance those precise actions and that’s when haesoo knew –– he had to be enrolled in ballet lessons.
his parents always thought that he was an odd child; a child who devotes his love and compassion towards dancing while his actions always loud and abrasive. it was almost as if haesoo knew that he was destined to dance as soon as he came out of the womb with an eerie aura of confidence and a subtle smirk the moment he had convinced his mother to enroll him for lessons.
–– and he was good at ballet. he could grand jeté and tour en l'air better than anyone else in his group, with that same level of confidence that was elicited from when he was five years old. haeso knew he was destined to dance.
when choi haesoo was ten, he had three ballet trophies and an itch to become someone.
iii.
when choi haesoo was thirteen, he met the second love of his life, a girl with a passion for optimism and jazz dance.
it was enriching, meeting someone who valued the art of dance and a personality to match. haesoo was alluring, cocksure, and arrogant while this girl was magnetic, fierce, and everything choi haesoo aimed to be as he grows older. he was fire and she was ice –– and haesoo was in love.
and so began the story where he begged his mother to enroll him into the same jazz lessons as the girl, promising to keep his grades up as well as his early success in ballet. he promised that he can become something more than just a ballet dancer –– that he’s going to become something big and make that girl fall in love with him. haesoo begged and pleaded until his mother said yes, without a trace of concern for his father, because with his confidence, he was sure that by taking jazz lessons that she was going to fall in love with him no matter what. his mother was ever so concerned as haesoo begged until there were tears brimmed in his eyes and a slight shake in his voice.
this was the first time haesoo ever cried as hard in his life.
( in the end, his mother said yes and haesoo beams. )
iv.
wicked child with your shining eyes; everything is handed to you by a silver platter but what ever happens when life doesn’t want your wicked ways? your bloodshot fangs and heavy heart? then what will you have left, wicked child?
when choi haesoo was eighteen, he experienced his first heartbreak.
it was nothing like how he’d ever imagine it because he’s choi haesoo, the town’s most prominent dancer with the art of mastering both ballet and jazz dance under his belt. he was at his prime for a teenager like himself, he should be grateful that he’s successful even if it’s just dancing. he’s the best damn dancer he knows, doesn’t that count for something?
( but haesoo finds out that life doesn’t revolve around dancing. )
the girl that he yearned to learn jazz dance for, the same girl that he’s spent five years desperately chasing and chasing until his feet bled numb and his mind grew foggy; the same girl who kissed his worries away and ushered him to audition for prime records because how could they not take you? you’re choi haesoo! left him for another and never looked back.
he’s left broken, terrified, and alone all because of her. he’s left with nothing but an unrealistic future and a mindset that he needs her to move on forward to be a successful in prime records. he’s nothing without her so why isn’t she nothing without him?
when choi haesoo was nineteen, he decided that heartbreak is another word for motivation. he picked up the broken pieces of his heart and entered prime records without a look back.
v.
wicked child, you’ve come so far. with your blackened heart made of gold and a smile that flatters; what’s wrong, wicked child? was the world too wicked for a child?
when choi haesoo turned twenty-three, he finally became someone.
DISPATCH, 06/24/17: Prime Media has officially released information about “Athena,” main vocalist, and visual, Moon Yeonhee, on AEON’s official website! Yeonhee is a ‘95 liner and has been beloved by fans since her debut in 2016. Find out more about Yeonhee below!
I, Moon Yeonhee, have read and understand the terms and conditions as my position of Athena (Main Vocalist, Visual) and agree to honor the standards that are to be expected of me as an employee of Prime.
Faceclaim: Kim Seolhyun
Name: Moon Yeonhee
Stage name (if applicable): N/A
Idol concept: Yeonhee’s concept had always been elegance. Whether it was when she was in the two ex-groups or with AEON. Elegance and intelligence was what Yeonhee was marketed to be. While that is true to her personality, Yeonhee feels like she always has to uphold that elegance and find it hard to perform well on variety shows, feeling awkward despite loving the idea of being able to showcase her skills on the piano and with ballet. Dubbed as the Nation’s Lady by fans, Yeonhee feels quite the opposite as privately, she’s quite an extrovert and loves being silly whenever she could.
Birth date and age: 15.05.1995, 21 (Going onto 22)
Company name: Prime
Group Name (if applicable): AEON
Group Position (if applicable): Athena (Main Vocalist, Visual)
Strengths: Singing and dancing are Yeonhee’s forte. She especially good with music, having been playing the piano and the violin from a young age. She does ballet but has dabbled in other genres of dance and since becoming an idol, Yeonhee has become a Kpop dance encyclopedia, knowing almost every dance (most just the chorus or point dance).
Weaknesses: Yeonhee is especially bad with variety. Because of the lady-like image that she has to uphold, Yeonhee holds herself back when on variety shows. She would gladly perform a song or dance but if she was asked to act silly on camera (dance weirdly, pulling faces, etc.), Yeonhee would hesitate.
Positive traits: Intelligent, observant, compassionate
Negative traits: Boring (on shows), forgetful, picky
PERSONAL HISTORY
Born on May 15th, 1995, Yeonhee is the third child in the family with two older sisters. She was born in Busan, South Korea, but Yeonhee’s family soon moved to England where her mother’s career flourished. Her father is a humble businessman who works a normal nine to five job while her mother is a world renowned ballerina, scouted to join The Royal Ballet shortly after Yeonhee’s birth.
Coming from a line of ballerinas, it was only natural for Yeonhee to take up the dance too. At a young age of three, Yeonhee started practicing alongside her older sisters. Every night before bedtime, Yeonhee would be forced to do a series of stretching by her mother which she had learnt to hate and even cried about it, in hopes that her mother would stop making her learn ballet.
Their maternal grandmother (A popular ex-prima ballerina in Seoul with her own ballet school) was their personal teacher (she lived with them for a few years in England). Ever since Yeonhee started, her grandmother never believed that she was born with talents for ballet and instead, focused more on making her two older sisters prima ballerina material. Still, Yeonhee persevered with the dance (despite hating it initially), hoping that her grandmother would one day recognise her hard work.
When it became clear that Yeonhee was not gaining her grandmother’s approval with ballet, Yeonhee picked up the piano at the age of six, having classes in school. Whenever her school held a piano recital or a concert, Yeonhee would invite her grandmother to watch but not once did her grandmother ever turn up. In fact, only her eldest sister would come and watch her, occasionally with their father. At eight, Yeonhee fell in love with the idea of playing the violin and started learning too, skipping a few grades at the beginning.
For ten years or so, the Moon family lived in England before Yeonhee’s mother finally retired from ballet, teaching at her own mother’s ballet school. Yeonhee’s mother and grandmother often argued over whether or not Yeonhee should continue with ballet. Her mother insisted that Yeonhee’s hard work would carry her if she was to pursue a career in ballet but her grandmother still firmly believed that Yeonhee was not born for ballet.
Now back in Korea, Yeonhee was finding it hard to make friends at school because her Korean was not fluent and when she did speak, she spoke with an accent. The kids in her class would make fun of her, resulting in Yeonhee spending most of her school time sitting by herself quietly and becoming quite recluse, even at home. In ballet classes, because Yeonhee had been learning from her grandmother and mother, she was far too advanced for classes meant for students her age and was instead, placed in an older class where she was still the outcast for being younger than everyone else. When she did try to make friends with them, they rejected her because they thought she only made it into their class through connections.
Yeonhee’s eldest sister was her anchor. She was the one who comforted the youngest, told her not to work herself too hard or worry about having to earn recognition from just one person. She told Yeonhee that ballet was not the only option because she could see that while Yeonhee loved the dance, she had no passion for it. Despite what their mother wanted, Yeonhee should never do something just to please someone else.
Since then, Yeonhee took a step back from ballet. Instead of intensively training like her sisters, she went to class twice a week and started to focus more on her piano and violin playing. It was clear that Yeonhee was more interested in music than ballet at this point.
Yeonhee was scouted by a company from a video that her sister posted online of Yeonhee playing the piano and singing. Her sister was the one who took her to the audition and when she was accepted into the company, her sister was the first to tell everyone they knew that her little sister was going to be a star.
Her trainee period was tough but Yeonhee kept with it, not wanting to disappoint her sister who gave the most support. When she first debuted, Yeonhee thanked her sister first. When she left the group, her sister was Yeonhee’s shoulder to cry on. Even through the next debut in another group and eventually leaving, her sister believed in Yeonhee.
With AEON now, Yeonhee hopes that she could become the person that her sister is proud of. Right now, she still feels as if she is lacking and undeserving of the support and belief that her sister has for her.

Dubbed as the Nation’s Lady by fans, Yeonhee feels quite the opposite as privately, she’s quite an extrovert and loves being silly whenever she could.

she dabbles around on the internet for the few years. she creates choreography on youtube for a while before she decides it’s not really her calling. she prefers the idol life.
soon she finds herself at prime and she’s fallen in love. there’s this vibe at the company that she adores and the trainees all seem to be people she can tolerate. she works hard for what she wants and soon she’s at the top of the prime pyramid.
when she’s selected to be in aeon, there’s nothing that could overshadow her happiness. she fits the concept well and she feels as if aeon is truly where she belongs. from here on out, she wishes to bring color to the boring black and white world of kpop.
