I just noticed but some of your DA elves have shorter ears and some have much longer ears :0 Is there a reason for that or is it just meant to be physical differences like having a long nose or a short nose?

It's really just what I think fits their design. Rorie has long, sharp features so I wanted his ears to match. I thought the shorter, softer ears matched Raf. It also helps that his hair is pulled back from his face, so his ears aren't hidden.

And sometimes they're half elves, like with my dnd character, Innes.

I started following you sometime just before or just after inquisition was announced, I loved watching Rorie change as we learnt more about the game. I'm also still happy to be here all these years later, I still love your art so much.

Rest assured, there's definitely gonna be a similar character journey with my Rook because I'm already getting ideas now that we have visuals to play off of. Don't be surprised if sketches are posted after the gameplay reveal tomorrow.

does the area on the chest of emery's armor do anything or is it just part of the design? also, the shape of the entire design on his chest makes me think of a bug :3

No function but it does reference his re-gene tattoos and the barcode-like lines in the circle resemble a heart. Because, y'know, Heartbreak and all that fun jazz~
