Yoshiki Nakamura’s call back in Skip Beat to her earlier work Tokyo Crazy Paradise had me squealing. I HIGHLY recommend TCP if you have not read it already, I am just as obsessed with the characters as I am with Skip Beat.

More Tokyo Crazy Paradise
Okay, so lately I have been reading this manga that I have just randomly found on the list, and I LOVE IT. It's titled Tokyo Crazy Paradise and I think it was published some time ago (based on how the characters look like and the way they dress).
Basically the story takes place in the future, year 2020, where Tokyo is known as the city of crimes. The Yakuza is basically powerful during this time and everyone doesn't want to get involve with them.
Since the city has become so dangerous (and especially dangerous for women), Tsukasa was raised as a boy by her cop parents. But after they died, she and her three brothers had nowhere to go…and that's where my boy Ryuji comes to the picture!
Ryuji is the son of the most powerful Yakuza in the area. And after his father's death, it was his turn to take on the title of Kumicho.
He agrees to help Tsukasa and her family but then charges them for everything he “gives” them. He then offers Tsukasa to be his bodyguard until she is able to pay off the debt and that is where their adventure begins!
I really don’t have any words to describe this manga, but I really, really, really love it. I love the characters, Tsukasa especially because she is one independent woman. Every chapter keeps on getting better and better as they get into deeper shit than before.
I can’t wait to read more and discover more about the characters and their secrets. I suggest you guys check it out too! :D
P.S. As I was writing this “review” of mine, I Googled to see the full name of the author and found out that she is also the author of Skip Beat, one of my fave anime rom-com ever! So if you love Skip Beat, you’ll love this one too. ;) (But that is just my opinion hehe...) Okay, bye. :)
Can't find that one drawing
I'm looking for this one sketch of the character Ryuji shirogami from Tokyo Crazy Paradise, he is alone and his expression shows many emotions, he looks sad, happy, reliaved, frustrated, angry, etc... the picture isn't fully developed which makes me think it might be fan art and not official art, If you happen to see it please send it my way, It would be greatly appreciated.
After a few years from the last time I re-read Tokyo Crazy Paradise, I started to wonder who exactly did Tsukasa and Shiki get their mannerisms from? We know they share a father, but there isn’t anything in the text (unless it was a comment written by the mangaka and wasn’t translated from Japanese) that suggests he was like that. There isn’t really anything about him at all. My guess is that it wasn’t an immediate relative on the father’s side. I wish we knew more about how Tsukasa’s parents were friends with Wakasa. Also whether or not Wakasa and Shiki’s mother were friends or not. I would love to see Tsukasa/Ryuji wedding. I don’t see her wanting to wear a dress (or even a traditional Japanese wedding kimono), but I do see other characters wanting her to wear one. If Kaya-san asked though, she might give in. Honestly, I see her in a bridal jumpsuit as a compromise if a tuxedo is out.
I’d love to what Tsukasa/Ryuji kids would be like.
This was honestly my favorite part of all the manga. I just love that he was actually able to open up to her. It gets me right in the heart😭
