Here’s my LOONA palette that I use for most of my clothing. To use them as I do, I recolor using linear burn on a basic white swatch (the first one). Please keep in mind that the swatch for the black color is darker than the actual color I use to recolor, due to linear burn, but the actual color is included in the files on Patreon and SimFileShare.

Autumn has just begun and some of you are still under the sun (but not at home, we've been wearing scarves for a long time !), but the new Pantone palette for spring and summer 2020 is already exit ! So, here I am sharing it with you, hoping it will give some warmth to some ! So, are there colors that speak to you ?

L'automne vient à peine de commencer et certains d'entre vous sont encore sous le soleil (mais pas chez moi, on a ressorti les écharpes depuis longtemps !), mais la nouvelle palette Pantone pour le printemps et l'été 2020 est déjà sortie ! Alors, voilà, je la partage avec vous, en espérant qu'elle donnera un peu de chaleur à certains ! Y a-t-il des couleurs qui vous parlent ?

I know, I know… how many more rainbow palettes do we need? Well one more apparently, because I just made this for my own personal use and wanted to share it with y’all. It’s not very bright or vibrant, but I wanted it to be as maxis match as possible. Below are the names that I made up and the hex codes + a download for an .aco palette. Enjoy! <3

Photoshop
To recolor with the actions, open Photoshop first. Then go to Windows > Actions to open the actions window ;-) Click the drop down menu in the top right corner of the action windows, and select ‘Load Actions’. Open the texture want to recolor (make sure it’s a DDS file!), and run the first action. Save as a DDS texture with the settings DXT5 - interpolated alpha. Go back to the unedited texture with the History menu and repeat for all swatches!
Notes:
- I have included two separate black actions. The third swatch is supposed to be a nice black swatch, but it’s easy to lose all contrast with a black swatch. Use the action that looks best with your base texture :-)
Paint.net
Personally I prefer to recolor with Paint.net, as it is much easier to control the quality of the swatch. To recolor with Paint.net, open your texture (can be PNG or DDS, doesn’t matter) and open the palette as well. Use the color picker tool (K key) to select the first swatch. Go back to the texture and switch to the recolor tool (R key). At the top of the screen, move the tolerance up to 100% and choose a brush size that fits your texture.
To recolor, you need to click anywhere on the texture and move the brush around to cover the whole texture. Now the magic of Paint.net comes into play! Depending on where you click on the texture, it changes how ‘strongly’ the texture is recolored. This is very useful for example when you need to make a black or white swatch. By simply clicking on darker/lighter parts of the texture, you can control how dark/light the swatch ends up. Most colors look best if you start on a lighter part of the texture though!
Once you’re satisfied with the swatch, save as DDS (settings DXT5 - interpolated alpha) or PNG, undo the recoloring and repeat for all swatches :-)!!
