Summary:

"You got the Six Eyes and Limitless, correct?" Yuuji didn’t know him yet and assumptions could be detrimental, however, Yuuji hoped this wasn’t another case where he would have to deal with snottiness. Nobility, and any sense of self-importance derived from it, was worthless on and off the field.

Thoughts

Oh. Oh, this fic. A treasure trove of character exploration, and beautiful, beautiful prose. Most of all, it's a very succesful effort at answering the what-ifs a role reversal scenario poses.

I really enjoy the author's take on adult Yuuji, and how the events of Hidden Inventory might look like in his eyes. Not to mention his relationship with Satoru. His love and care is so palpable, it's truly a wonderful thing to witness. The story being Pre-Slash adds to this, in my opinion, as it intensifies the feeling of unacknowledged yearning through out.

I'd say this is the kind of story that is meant to be digested slowly, with care. One of my favorites for sure.

Thoughts

What a read! Mythological settings are always a treat, and I just adore the author's choice of making Gojo the morally ambiguous angel to Yuuji's Lot. So fitting.

The style is interesting and very effective at conveying the tone. Also very sexy if dubcon and immortal beings playing favorites is your thing (it most definitely is mine).

Thoughts

Amnesia is a guilty pleasure trope of mine, and paired with a secret relationship? I was crazy excited to read this and despite feeling like my heart got stabbed repeatedly through out I loved this story. I was hanging by a thread with only that happy ending tag as my lifeline for most of it. The prose and style did such a good work at creating an atmosphere of... wistfulness? that perfectly carried the emotional experience.

Many aspects of this fic made me emotional, but what stands out the most after rereading several times is how good Yuuji and Gojo are for each other. There's all these little moments where I couldn't help but think "ah, so this is why they love each other". They fit like puzzle pieces and nothing shows it better than the casual touches, the out of hand comments, the easy chemistry. It almost serves as a relationship study too, which is amazing.

Thoughts

Okay so this was my very first fic for this fandom, and it still stands as one of my favorites. My favorite Athena fic too, and you know I love them all. I couldn't possibly get all my thoughts down in a few concise paragraphs, but I'll do my best.

This author always crafts the most interesting worlds and premises, making me feel like I'm getting an insider view on everything they choose to touch on (chronic illness and japanese folklore, in this case), all delivered through a smart and easy to read writing style that pulls you in right away.

Ah, the romance and drama of it all. I love how naturally Gojo and Yuuji's relationship develops, how easy their chemistry is. They fall for each other hard and fast, and it hits me in the feels every single time. They're so fun together! It just fills me with joy. Also destroys me, when the hurt part of that Hurt/Comfort tag comes into play.

Another favorite aspect of this story is how enjoyable the characterizations are. I really like this take on an older Yuuji, so capable and caring and equipped with the maturity needed to handle (and adore every second of) the one and only, Gojo Satoru. And Gojo! what a delightful character to read. He's got a permanent silliness to himself paired with a frustrating, but very understandable nihilism that makes him inmediately fascinating. Plus the unique Gojo trait of being a grown man and a pretty boy all at once. How I adore him.

All in all, amazing read. I'd be surprised if you guys didn't already know of this fic, but if you didn't, please take a look! You won't regret it.
