zhou shen stuff
A) 吉量 (spotify) and 选择 (spotify) (new song slot)
agonised for ages on which one to pick and then realised that i literally didn't have to. why pit two bad bitches against each other!!! it's still so cool to me that 吉量 had the honour of being the most popular 春晚 song both views and ratings-wise, and ofc (as a zym song for a zym film) 选择 was a guaranteed banger (which is good bc it sure did kick up a lot of trouble lol).
i wish we had actually seen him sing 吉量's big high note (so far i've seen one (?) fancam (???) cctv's super strict abt them) but it is what it is!! and i'm looking forward to 选择's first live, whenever that may be ^^
B) 牵丝戏 (event/show performance slot)
zhou shen sang the xiqiang part of this song during the wzry event around mid-feb, and i was ecstatic alfajshsk i really love both 牵丝戏 and his xiqiang in general ❤️❤️ he's performed it on 我爱二次元 but tbh the quality of that one's only meh (like that whole show lol) so i linked his livestream ver!! the 唱别久悲不成悲 十分红处竟成灰 / 愿谁记得谁 最好的年岁 part of the chorus is such a dangerous earworm omfg i wld kill to hear him sing a full 2026版
C) 美美 (spotify) (慢热歌曲 slot)
some time ago the 袋米 (aus shengmi) acc on xhs posted a guess-the-zs-song challenge comprising of vocalisation sections from uhhh 缘起（前世今生版），传家，美美 and one other i can't remember!! 美美 was the only one that gave me pause and afterwards i started listening to it more often ahdhah that 哼唱 part's still my favourite

A) sa dingding's 雾里
not a new song to my February itself (came across it during my zs ep 补ing of 为歌而赞 late last year) (what a stupid show holy fuck), but one i've been listening to a lot lately!! forever obsessed with sdd's vocal control 🥰🥰🥰 in this vast 华语乐坛 she is on the comparatively much shorter list of artists i actually like and respect ahdhahs the last time i ktved with a friend, i played this one just to show her and her jaw was on the floor... seriously the number of registers sdd switches between is just sick. sdd you are so cool
B) menni's 如春 - Run (spotify) and 红绣花 - Red (spotify)
i did rec some of his newer stuff last repo but im not done yet!!! my top songs of this album (门尼II：剧场 / Menni II: The Theatre) also include 窗内窗外 - Passerby and 泥娃 - Doll. including all 4 because i rlly love the 2 menni songs from the last repo but i've always finished them wanting more ahfhah this set of 4 not only have similar/complementing vibes to each other, but also those first 2 ^^ so if u want more after 21克博物馆 and 巴拉莱卡... there's more!!
i'm a big fan of menni's artistry ❤️❤️ there's so much storytelling in his music!!!! i'd read the shit out of a full-length analysis of this album in particular omg both 红绣花's and 窗内窗外's MVs (which i have linked) are incredibly intriguing. also, watch his and wsl's 红绣花 performance after watching menni sing it solo to uhhhh appreciate menni's singing even more intensely 👍
