Hello, everyone! As of yesterday, I’m officially a high school graduate and oh, it’s a sweet, sweet title to finally hold. Moreover, I have clutched the next few days to myself, so that the hours of my days can be dedicated to attending to the group and being as much of a guiding hand to you all as I could possibly be, before work beckons once more. 

Due to this sudden expansion of free time that will be present within my schedule, I have finally come to the conclusion of an acceptance date! As a disclaimer, this date was chosen with practicality in mind, for I wanted to give as much time as possible to all of our applicants, as well as start off the group at the beginning of a week, for symbolic purposes (and my work schedule played a part, I will admit). However, if there’s a large portion of you that wish to push up the date, then I may think it over. On SUNDAY, JUNE 17th, I will be closing the submit at 6:00 PM EST, which gives all of our potential applicants over a week to polish off their applications. I will then, hopefully, be posting acceptances within the next twelve hours, but don’t panic if it the time range increases, for I want to dedicate as much time and focus to each individual application as I can to ensure that each accepted writer is deserving of their place, as well as to honor the hard work that each of our lovely applicants put forth into their applications. 

Beginning twenty-four hours before the closing of the submit, I will start to post notices indicating how much time you have left before all applications must be submitted. They will be posted once every three hours, and then increase to one hour notices once we have six hours left, and then from the two-hour-point, I will be posting every thirty minutes. Once the submit closes, I will make an announcement and possibly other treats to sweeten the wait. 

During the actual acceptance process, I will be answering questions that come into the main, but they will be posted sporadically and only during my breaks, for I want to wholly limelight my attention onto the applications on hand. Once I have come to a decision, I may be crossing the skeleton name off the app count, but that’s only if it’s requested of me from multiple sources, for I know it has been habitual to cause anxiety in some players in past roleplay experiences. However, I will be posting an announcement that declares when all decisions have been concretely made, and may or may not take a small break at that point, depending on my energy level at the time. All accepted writers/skeletons will be posted separately, though no part of the application will be included, and will have a personal message from myself attached, so that I could properly swoon over each of you and detail what cemented your acceptance. If those accepted wish to post their full applications onto their own character accounts, that’s perfectly fine by me!

I hope this step-by-step walk-through helped soothe any nerve-wracked individuals, for I know that seeing a concrete plan balms my fluttering stomach and heart pretty well. If there are any questions that were left unanswered here, please, ask away! I want to make this experience as fun and comfortable as I can for you lot, so that it’s a fun memory for us all to hold dear. I will be leaving soon for a congratulatory dinner this evening, but I’ll try to answer any questions that make their way through before I’m gone for the night. As always, if you want to reach me sooner, I should be replying to IMs fairly quickly, so that’s an option as well. HOLY MERLIN, IS IT THAT TIME OF THE YEAR ALREADY?

SEPTEMBER 1ST, 2023 ⏤ 10:45am.

Oh, how the noise is incessant. The same tumultuous song every year for endless decades and eras and long-past centuries, the tune the same thunderous roar of a crowd, even if the individuals themselves shift and are plucked in and out of formation; souls new and old both crying and contributing to the voice-drowning roar of Platform 9¾. Your ear drums have hardened to the sound, after all of these years, yet your mother still can’t quite manage to mask her wince. Hey! A shout pierces the air next to you, and suddenly someone shoves past, knocking your balance, and then arms encircle you as you’re pushing into her embrace, irritation and amusement both flickering over the worn lines of her face. You don’t pull away, but rather tighten your own arms around her figure, blurring the accident into a hug, whispering you’ll write, I promise, mum. She starts to say something, perhaps there’s a laugh in her throat and in the crinkle of her eyes, yet a boisterous Oi! Over here, loser! overwhelms it, and the familiar voice of your best friend takes over any sentimental goodbyes blooming between you and the woman you won’t see for months, at best. You quickly press a kiss to her blush colored cheeks and untangle yourself, snatching your trunk and shouting a swift I love you! over your shoulder as you barrel through the waves of students and their parents, searching for the beacon of your friends. Ah, there they are, and you smile as you’re pulled onto the train. Another year at Hogwarts has begun.

SEPTEMBER 1ST, 2023 ⏤ 8:38pm.

The feast is as boring as every year, though Sprout does make an effort to sing along with the hat this time, calming the first years at least and digging a few chuckles out of some others. Your eyes flicker over to the black-donned group, the air above them nearly buzzing with nerves and thrumming alongside their furious heartbeats in tandem itself. You sort of want to point and laugh, though it’s less instinctive than just plain bored. You blow out a sigh and look back to the front, chin resting idly in one upturned palm and eyes nearly threatening to roll over. Dimly, you hear her announce the names of the new heads, but when turn your head to look, your best friend elbows you in the side and when you make a move to hit them back, the feast is before you. All thoughts simmer into oblivion when your eyes catch sight of the glory before you, and you quickly dig in. A grand welcome back it is.

The roleplay will be starting on the morning of September 2nd, the first day of classes for the students. Each will receive their classes & timetable from their respective Head of House, and head off on their merry way to class. However, being sixth and seventh years, remember that they do receive quite a bit of free time in name of “studying”. The time has finally come! I have updated the final app count and closed the submit, so all that’s left to do is for me to read all of your beautiful applications and come to some very hard decisions. I am in awe of how diligently you have all worked and the passion that you have injected into this group, which in turn made me want to work harder and do everything in my power to have made this a fun application process, so I genuinely hope that I succeeded. I appreciate every word that you have put toward this group and am so proud to have assembled such great writers to bring along on this roleplay’s journey. Thank you all for taking the time and effort into writing an application, you have made me happier beyond words.

Hello, my loves! I’ve posted the official announcement in the OOC chat for our players to see, but considering there was some interest shown in the open roles, it’s best to post an announcement here as well, in everyone’s best interest. It saddens me to say, but the group is going on a hiatus from this point on, to help rejuvenate muse and come back together stronger. I am so sorry for those who sought our group and displayed interest in the open skeletons, but I promise that they will still be there, if your interest remains, when we come back. A week or so before the hiatus ends (the members and I are collectively making the decision as to when exactly that will be) I will make a post here, and reveal anything that may have been brewing behind the scenes (potentially new skeletons to come!) and such, so that everyone is aware. That all said, my heart is so, so full from the dedicated and beautiful love sent this group’s way, and I can assure you that when our door’s open once more, I plan to give it back double. I love you all!!

Hello, my loves! As you can see in our previous post, the roles of THRASONICAL and PHAETON were reopened, which means they are now available to be applied for! Whether you were a past applicant or not, you are more than welcome to try your hand at encapsulating their dear souls, for we’d love to welcome new faces into the group. While activity may be slow at times, each of us truly loves both their own character and everyone else’s, and there’s still plenty of that love to go around. If any applications are submitted for the open skeletons, I will decide on an acceptance date then. All right, loves! Nearly all of the accounts are in, so I’ll be releasing the follow list shortly, and from that moment on, you’re free to plot with the other members. Moreover, as public opinion dictated, we are going to be having a discord group as our OOC chat, and I’ll be sending those links out as soon as this is posted, so you can plot there as well! I’ll make any further announcements in the chat, as opening times need to be debated upon. Get excited, darlings!

...Aaand that’s a wrap, my loves! I just wanted to say a big, sincere thank you to every single person who has given this group just an ounce of their love and attention, for it truly means the absolute world and beyond to me. Due to the small number of roles, not every applicant could have possibly been accepted, and that fact truly kills me inside. Not only were your applications delightful to read, but each one shone with the kind of passion that I was after, so I’m pleading that you don’t come away from today thinking you are anywhere near unworthy. You have put your heart and souls into this group right alongside my own, and nothing could taint that. If I could welcome all of you into the group’s arms, I would, for you all have been magnificent.

As for those of you accepted, congratulations! Seeing as I haven’t slept in a good twenty-four hours now, I’ll be heading to sleep and updating all of the pages later today instead of right now, though I assure you that all of your desired functions will stay as you requested them. As stated in the acceptance posts, all accounts must be submitted to the main within twenty-four hours of the post’s creation, though if you require an extension, please let me know and we could work something out! More information will be coming later on, and with that, I bid you all a good day!
