I, too, did some time on the so-called "abroad" experience wherein everything was new and fascinating for a novice like me. The culture, the food, the scenery, the snow...everything!
After a few months or so, when the excitement was all spent, realization hits hard--- our place too is just as beautiful and amazing... I miss home.
That was a lifetime ago. Since returning home, I now see the usual local scenery in a very very different light.
