I saw Age of Ultron last night and felt maybe two emotions.

"Who hurt you?"

Once paused looking at the visitor. He ran his hand through his hair, his hat long since lost to the forest wildlife. "My mother." He answered sitting down on the steps. "She never really cared for me, even if I was the youngest, she passed over me for my brothers. The two most dense individuals to walk this earth. It didn't matter if I made her a master piece of art, if I taught myself how to play her favorite song, if I got high marks. It was always my brother's who impressed her. So to sit there and be told your a failure, you're not needed. You should like a servant, never seen, never heard, but always there to clean up the mess." Once stood up quickly "Never mind, look. Just forget ok? It's not important, she's.... She's not worth the effort." That was a lie, she was worth the effort, that's why he was out here trying to make something of himself, trying to make her happy. He walked up the stairs to his home opening the door. His shoulders shaking. Memories were flooding the taller man's mind, his mother's cold stare, her frown. Her laughter when he was shoved out of the way by his brothers. Her finely cared for nails catching the light as she set aside his report card as though it was nothing. Her sneer and snappish comments when he got accepted into college. The missed chance to go, the idea of the hold she held over him made a sob escape his lips.

"I should stop moping." He sighed changing his clothes. Once took a breath pushing open the door. He stared at the day, it was bright, shinning and wonderful. Swomee-swans fly by being chased by barabaloots. The humming fish rushed up and started to sing to the lanky man. Once-ler looked out at his home, it was beautiful, joyous. Anyone who visited the forest today, would be uplifted from a foul mood when they behold such a sight.  Once-ler sigh closing the door shuffling back to his bed. "No."

Once stumbled through the woods. He paused at the trees he would run into on occasions. He sighed hitting his head on the fourth tree he ran into. He rested his head against the tree. He smiled pressing his ear to the tree. "No. I can't do better then him." He muttered to the tree sliding down. "He's just the guy for me, And I want all the world to see  We've met, mmm-mmm-mmm-m'mmm-mmm"   He sang to the trees taking a deep inhale before releasing it slowly. His head pounded as he waited the sun to come up. "I don't think I want to do better then him." He said to the trees. The only living organism he couldn't push away willingly.

Once sighed rolling on to his back. He toyed with the button on his vest. He hadn't bothered to change his clothes. He rolled on to his side staring at the wall. "I hate my life."

"Just leave me here to emotionally die." Once muttered pushing a barbaloot out of the bed . It looked up at the man before scampering away taking the others with it. Once's hand reached out of the covers pushing the empty jar away from him.

Once pushed himself before shuffling to his fridge with the blanket covering most of his body. He sighed reaching into the device and pulling out his mostly empty mason jar of liquor. He leaned against the fridge gripping the jar tightly as he hummed.  "Falling slowly, eyes that know me And I can't go back The moods that take me and erase me And I'm painted black... "  He muttered before shuffling back sniffling the jar pressed against his chest. He laid down on the bed curling up. His blanket slipping onto the wooden floor boards of his home. He stared at the wall before sitting up and starting to unscrew the jars cap.
