“I brought you your favorite,” Ryleigh exclaims with a warm smile on her lips, holding out one of the two to-go cups of coffee she’d acquired on her way over to the bakery. In her time in Dayton, The Grind has become her favorite coffee pit-stop and perhaps, she should be saving money rather than dropping ten dollars on coffee every day, but she’s never been able to make coffee to her taste at home. Buying it was easier and one of the few splurges Ryleigh afforded herself. It’s still early - well before the bakery’s opening hours - and she’s grateful to Sadie for this opportunity. The last time they’d worked together, Ryleigh was still a novice, still learning the trade of how a bakery is actually supposed to work, but Sadie had never made her feel any less for it. Ryleigh doesn’t think she’ll ever be able to think of a way to repay Sadie for her kindness, but she’s determined to try (one cup of coffee at a time - to start, at least). “As many coffee shops as there are in New York, I’m pretty sure I’ve never had a coffee this good.” Ryleigh muses lightly as she makes her way toward the entrance which leads to the kitchen. @sadieremington
