What would be Col's reaction to waking up back at his old master's place and realzing it was all a dream. Master never died, Linden was never real, he's still there.

just.......despair. it'd do wonders for breaking him. his Master would think his pet was drugged somehow, with how unresponsive and empty he suddenly was

maybe he'd draw a crude picture of Linden on the wall of his cell, scratching it in with the edge of one of his cuffs, and look at it at night. hoping he can dream of him again :(
