An Ending You Would Have Wanted - @mysme69minutes
Time: About 40ish minutes! I would expand, but I’m afraid I’d get over the time limit then omg. So it’s about 929 words now, but I also figured maybe uploading some of my writing might get people interested in my blog! Hehe.
MC groaned softly. Headache. It made them very reluctant to open their eyes, but along with the headache came a vague sense of danger. So slowly, reluctantly, they opened their eyes, attempting to orient themselves. Where.. was this place? It didn’t seem familiar – how did they get here?
As they tried to remember, a voice spoke, a voice that was vaguely familiar. “We’ve woken up, have we? How are you feeling?”
Whoever was speaking, they were keeping out of MC’s sight. It was frustrating, but the headache made it hard to think. Considering they were asking about MC’s well-being, they must be friendly, right?
“Headache,” MC managed to answer.
Upon receiving an answer, Saeran moved in front of MC, holding out a glass of water and a pain-killer. “Yeah, that happens. But it will be over soon, and you’ll be happy here. Don’t worry.” A lazy, almost crazy-looking smile was on his face.
But he didn’t seem unfriendly. Unfamiliar, though. So why did MC recognise the voice? Before exploring the answer to this question, they decided to accept the offered water and medicine, consuming both and then squinting in an attempt to identify the other.
“Who are you?”
“We’ve spoken before,” the unknown man assured them. “Though you wouldn’t recognise me – the picture I used wasn’t actually one of myself.”
The more MC listened and looked at the guy, the more their brain seemed to try and prompt them with memories. But the headache was being annoying, so they decided to let it be for now.
“Where am I?”
“Magenta,” the man said, smiling still. “Paradise,” he added, as if that explained and clarified everything. “We’ll be taking care of you from now on.”
“So far you’ve only given me a headache,” MC pouted, sitting up straight and rubbing their head.
“But I’ve also provided you with medicine,” was the counter-argument, in an almost annoyed tone of voice.
“Fair enough,” MC mumbled in response, looking around the room. It didn’t seem very homely. Rather simple, just a bed and a desk with a light. “I don’t think I know this place.”
“I shouldn’t think so. But you’ll get to know it.”
Squinting at the man for another minute, MC finally realised why he did seem somewhat familiar, and why he sounded familiar. “Seven?”
A scoff being the initial response, the white-haired man then returned to his smile and shook his head. “No. You’ll learn the truth about him soon enough. My name is Saeran.”
“You look and sound like Seven,” MC countered, raising their eyebrow. “At least from what I’ve heard through the phone and seen on pictures.”
“He’s my twin brother,” Saeran admitted, reluctantly. “But you probably know me better as ‘Unknown’.”
“Oh. You’re the hacker.”
“Is that really all you have to say on the matter?”
He sounded almost disappointed. MC couldn’t quite grasp why, until the headache subsided enough for them to realise they’d been talking for a while through text messages.
“No, I’m sorry. My memories seem to be a bit blurry. Are we friends?”
“A side effect of the drug, I’m afraid,” Saeran started, then frowned. “Friends? I don’t know. When do you consider someone a friend?”
“Usually when they’re nice to me and we’ve been talking for a while.”
“We’ve been talking for a while.”
“Are you nice to me?” MC questioned, tilting their head to the side slowly, but quickly straightening up again as it worsened the headache.
“I brought you to paradise.”
MC thought, biting their lip. This paradise place didn’t seem too pleasant so far – and Saeran had admitted they didn’t know the place. And the headache, the blurry memory.. Something was off.
“How did I get here?” They inquired, trying to piece together the most recent events.
“I took you here.”
“Did I come voluntarily?”
“I’m not sure. You seemed afraid at first, but when I explained I would be taking you to paradise, you agreed on coming along.”
At least he was honest. His words did seem to be true, memories slowly returning and agreeing with him. It hadn’t been kidnapping – not really. MC had come along voluntarily after he’d explained who he was and what he was planning to do. Though Saeran had broken and entered the apartment, which was undoubtedly illegal.
“So why do I feel like this?”
“We use drugs to make people happy,” Saeran admitted. “But they tend to have negative side-effects such as headaches. Once you’re happy, you can stop using them.”
“Is it really happiness if achieved by drugs?” MC questioned, wondering how they had gotten themselves involved in this. It didn’t seem like something they would do, accept drugs in return for happiness. Why had they agreed?
“You asked that before you took them, too,” Saeran almost chuckled. “But you said that if I’d taken them and I was happy now, it would be fine.”
As they talked, MC remembered. They trusted him. More than that, actually. Slowly they realised that they had feelings for Saeran, and a light blush spread over their cheeks.
“Oh.”
“Are you okay?” He put a hand to MC’s forehead, as if checking their temperature.
The blush deepened, and MC turned their head away. “Yeah, I’m fine.”
“Good,” was the reply, Saeran’s hand lowering as he held it out to MC. “If you’re feeling good enough, I can show you around?”
MC took the offered hand, nodding. It seemed about time to explore this paradise, if it were to be their new home. “Okay.”
And with that they stood up, letting Saeran lead them through paradise.
My Poor Attempt at a Walkthrough for the MM Christmas DLC
I already managed to get all of the endings, but I am playing through them again since I didn’t exactly plan to do this originally.
This includes hearts, incoming and outgoing phone calls and visual novels. I have noticed some discrepancy between my phone calls and another walkthrough’s, so please let me know if it differs for you. I double checked every single one *but* that doesn’t mean there isn’t room for error.
On Christmas Eve: I have all of the options outlined for what choice gives you whose hearts, so all you have to do is pick your color and stick with it to move toward the route you’d like, if it’s a normal one.
I don't understand why people say they accidentally got Saeran's ending. How?! How do you accidentally get his ending?! The first message you send him says that you want to see him. How is that, "an accident?" You're basically telling him that you want to meet him. I don't know how you can, "accidentally," do that.
