I’m glad you asked, because I had almost forgotten OTL
So Zen’s sister is about a year younger than he is. He opened those little red eyes and his parents immediately decided they needed to try again. For a more normal child.
What they didn’t know is they instead made Zen’s biggest supporter. She adored Zen, more than anyone else. Whenever their parents or older brother tried to pick on Zen for his looks or his dreams, she was there to keep his spirits up.
And then Zen was 16 and he ran away from home. He didn’t let anyone know. Almost anyone. He left a letter for his younger sister, telling her to stay strong and not to let their parents words bring her down.
Zen barely gets to the train station before he suddenly has a tag along.
“So, where we goin?” She’d asked, backpack stuffed to the brim on her back. He tried to send her back home, but she wouldn’t. Not for anything.
So for the first couple years, she essentially functioned as Zen’s manager. It makes it easier to not get taken advantage of when you have someone to read the contracts a little bit closer instead of being blinded by the desperation and stars in your eyes.
They eventually get to the point where Zen starts to get more notoriety, and they both get to the point where they’re comfortable enough to firmly set down roots and she convinces Zen that they both need to get their GEDs (or whatever the Korean equivalent is). Zen’s kinda eh about it since he wants to focus on his acting career, but having someone to work with him on it helps.
Not long after, Rika wants Zen to join the RFA, and while Rika really only wants Zen, they’re a package deal, and they both join the RFA
Then she catches Jumin’s eyes, even though she’d never believe it. Between her and Zen, she’s the plain one that doesn’t catch eyes. How could the CEO of a major business like her? Not to mention how much Zen dislikes Jumin.
