1-day Sunday Sagargad trek near Alibaug.
How to go?
Check the GPS marked trek route on Wikiloc & Google Maps here. Gateway of India > launch > Mandwa jetty > bus > Alibag > tumtum > Khandale > Pavele > trek starts > Siddheshwar temple > Machi Sagargad > Sagargad > & same way back. We missed the last launch from Mandwa jetty at 19:30 and therefore returned by bus from Alibag. Alibag > bus > Panvel > train > home. More PHOTOS are on Wikiloc GPS map route.

05:00 wake up 07:45 launch starts from Gateway of India 08:45 launch reaches Mandwa jetty 09:15 reach Alibag by bus from Mandwa jetty 09:55 reach Khandale village by tumtum from Alibaug 10:15 reach trail head of trek in Pavele village 14:00 reach Sagargad top 15:30 descent starts 17:30 reach base 18:30 reach Alibaug 21:00 reach Panvel 23:00 reach home Expenses:
50/- rickshaw between home and station 35/- train tickets 140/- launch ticket from Gateway of India to Mandwa jetty, which includes connecting bus fare from Mandwa jetty to Alibag 75/- tumtum (6-seater) from Alibaug to Pavele village via Khandale (single way 200/- full, divided by 5 & return 200/- full, divided by 6) 35/- refreshments Total = 335/-
