"oh hey that's saguru the cat"
"...did you really name that cat after me?"
Happy holiday!!
Hakuba enjoying hot tea with Watson and..
Huh? Why that snowman look familiar..?
Someone in disguise? or perhaps someone built and dressed the snowman to adore a certain phantom thief
i wonder how Kaito appears from Saguru's POV. he first met him as the Phantom Thief Kaitou KID, whose plans he promptly fucked up (freeing the hot air balloon by cutting the rope, pointing out the trick behind KID's magic) and forcing him to flee via hang-glider, where he learnt that KID cannot skate to save his damn life.
then he met him as Kuroba Kaito, resident class clown and prankster. who, despite being a criminal, performs magic for the sole purpose of bringing joy to others. who stops when he sees a crying little child to magic them a toy. who is immature, certainly, but has a heart of gold.
i wonder when the line started to blur. when did Kaito go from 'criminal that must be caught' to a friend? because, well, Saguru called him from Paris to warn him about Nightmare. sure, it was supposed to be a rival thing, but it still speaks to some level of care, doesn't it?
i wonder how he would feel when he realizes it's 2 generations of KID, and the predecessor was murdered by an underground crime syndicate. i wonder how he would feel when he learns that those very same people are after Kaito's life. i wonder how he would feel when KID gets hurt during a heist and Kaito appears the next day, poker face intact, moving like he does not have a hidden wound.
does his heart break, i wonder? does he try to help, only for Kaito to inevitably reject him? does he lose sleep trying to help anyway, pouring over cold cases for that one connection, that one hint that might let him take Snake down?
does he drive himself insane with worry?
why does Kaito look perfectly fine?
And guess who is KID's favorite
