Here he is all framed and ready for duty.
My first time at Anime Expo went splendidly! I commissioned RedStar, who made the Super Bowl Sharks for D Piddy, to create Tsundere LeftShark (or as most called it: Sailor Left Shark).
The costume was a success! I even got to meet the Try Guys, which I wasn’t even aware of. Since the costume was disorienting to be in, I was totally unaware I was being filmed by Buzzfeed. All I saw was a bunch of guys in rad Sailor Moon cosplays who sounded strangely professional. I also got some photo ops with Kill La Kill cosplayers, which was my main goal for the whole event. Mission Accomplished!
I also bought some sweet merch. Got me a signed scroll poster from barachan. I also found the perfect gift for my friend’s Unicorn Birthday Party: an adorable amigurumi Lady Rainicorn made by usagilovex (who, as a fellow crocheter, I encourage to make more amigurumi).
Of course, the highlight of the whole Expo....was the whole floor of people shouting Shia LaBeouf's "Just Do It." That joke spread...like cancer. I was awestruck.
I learned one thing from this event: you'll find plenty of photo ops, but there will be just as more that you will miss. There were just so many people and perfectly matching costumes! However, that costume was scorching to be in. At most, I could only wear it for 45 minutes, so missed out on plenty of photo ops. Like there were other Tsundere Shark cosplayers I didn’t run into!
