So I kept seeing people from the myu cover community post songs in honor of @sailorzakuro's birthday. She's been a big supporter of me too, even though I just started a couple months ago. So I decided to do a birthday cover as well!

When thinking of songs, I pretty quickly thought of "Seijaku no Hostie (Seitai)," Mistress 9's song from Mugen Gakuen. It's in my range, I've analyzed it to death over on Myu Corner, and it was originated by one of Zakuro's favorite myu actresses, Inami Tomoko! (Yes, before becoming Sailor Neptune, she played Mistress 9...she only became Neptune after Yuuka left).

I rehearsed, recorded, edited, and got this up all in one day. I am pretty impressed with myself for that. (And shocked my parents didn’t interrupt to tell me not to be singing loud at 10:00 at night). I had a hard time trying to balance the deepness of Tomoko's voice with the high notes (when I post the fails, you'll get to hear my attempt at an "all high notes" version...it's pretty awful), but I think the result in the end turned out great.

This is now my second English cover! I thought it was time for another one, and also this song sounded better in English than Japanese, strangely. I used lyrics from @seaofserenitysubs this time, cause I really liked their translation. Also, since “hostie” is French, I gave its French pronunciation (where the h is silent; this is also present in the katakana of the original lyrics, as osuti).

This is also the first time I've made my own karaoke; I downloaded the song from SeraMyu Antics and made a karaoke using Audacity.

Anyway, Happy Birthday Zakuro (probably belated by the time you read this), and thank you again for all your support!

I knew she would XD

Ok so me and my Myu Bestie had a bit of a fangirl bet going on. The winner gets to make the loser fangirl lots and lots. I bet that she would hit 100 subs before I hit 40 and she disagreed. Today she hit 100 subs therefore I win the bet and get to make her fangirl lots and lots XDD However that isn't the main reason I agreed to the bet. @sailorzakuro the reason is I wanted to prove how awesome you are and that you should have more faith in yourself XD look at how far you've come XDD I'm so proud of you hitting 100 subs so keep it up

My first collab!

It's Sailor Neptune's birthday today, so I wanted to do a Uranus & Neptune song. This made me think of Sailor Zakuro, who's been super supportive of me in this new adventure, and who really loves Sailor Neptune. So I e-mailed her and asked if she'd do this with me! We decided on "Choubi! Uranus to Neptune" for the song, and I chose for us to do the Sanae & Kahoru version, cause I really like it (even though we're both big Nao fans).

Btw, I’m singing Uranus and Zakuro Neptune, in case that wasn’t obvious.

I rehearsed this song a little too much...resulting in some fails. TBH, I haven't done a dub in Japanese in FOREVER, including of this song, and the katakana in words like "goorudo" and "tarisuman" kept throwing me off. Normally, I probably wouldn't obsess so much, but I'd listened to Zakuro's recording already and her pronunciation was SOOO perfect. Anyway, I kept the recordings of the fails, so I'll compile those and some rehearsal stuff into a behind the scenes video at a later date.

Plotting Fun XD

Plotting stuff is certainly much more fun when you do it with friends XD Lets just say some of our conversations while doing so are brilliant (especially when we make references to what we are planning while we are planning it hahaha! ) As to what me and @sailorzakuro are plotting, well my lips are staying shut ;)
