Here’s a neat trick a lot of emoji artists use. There’s a filter in Ibis Paint X that makes your palette more cohesive depending on how you adjust it.

Go into the Filters section of your toolbar, and scroll to the Artistic section. From there, press Anime Background. You might want to create a layer from canvas (makes a layer by duplicating and merging your layers) for this.

From there, adjust! Here are some comparisons I’ve made, before and after.

It’s adjacent to a shortcut when you want a more interesting palette. Different original colors will give you different results— play around with the settings!

And for a bonus! I’ve made a few emoji mascot designs for fun that are completely f2u. I only ask that you credit my tumblr if you do use any.

Brushes and Fonts.

Although I have many brushes stashed away, I only use a few!

Slashi’s brush and Dip Pen (hard) are the main brushes I use. Dip pen is a default pen on ibis paint X. The Best Brush is the brush I use to make wordmojis. It’s a popular brush among emoji artists.

You can import them by going into your custom brush list, pressing the three dots at the top and then pressing “import brush QR code”.

Up above is a list of commonly used fonts for graphics. I only use a few of them. Listed are:

Arcade King, Billo, Billo dream, Bluenesia, Cheri, comicy, cattyla, cute stitch, dcc-cloud, dinomiko, futura.

Hey elsie cute, love, kbtwolovers, lemon milk, winkle, quick love, quiet meows, rain kiss, striger, puppybellies, Starborn, amore, manolete.

You can find these fonts by pressing the plus (+) sign in your font list, and searching them in dafont.

your emoji style is really pretty im surprised you aren’t more popular waow!! i was just sending this ask to see if I could take inspo from your banner thing you recently made, since ive never seen anyone use irl photos and such for theirs and I thought it looked neat! (when I say inspo, I mean also using irl photographs, not copying the style/color palette or anything of the sort)
