What is Salsa?

In this famous video, Izzy Sanabria explains exactly how this multitude of influences became such a complete and legendary musical genre.

This is salsa: a mixture of sounds, cultures, genres - not for nothing it means "sauce"

In Cuba 1933, Ignacio Piñeiro was recording "Échale salsita" when, in the middle of the song, he yells "salsa!" to indicate the increase in rhythm and the mixing of sounds that is typical of this genre.

Izzy Sanabria was a graphic designer from Puerto Rico who moved to the Bronx in New York City during his childhood. Although he never played any instruments, he is considered very important for the popularization of salsa and is often credited with coining the term. He was also a master of ceremonies during many salsa concerts.

Sirius has no clue what he’s doing but is still vibing

James kind Of knows knows what he’s doing due to his mum tying to teach him when he was younger

Remus has the right steps but is so stiff like his hips just will not move

Peter some how already knows what to do but it isn’t perfect

Lily is getting it but is mainly there for the vibe

Dorcas & Marlene are just having fun and vaguely paying attention to what there actually supposed to be going

Pandora is just loving being involved and learning about her friends culture

Regulus straight up refuses to join in till it comes to partner work then he’s right beside James

Barty & even are the only ones actually doing it perfectly tho Barty dose have to correct evens footing from time to time.

Barty also keeps trying to but in while Mary is explaining he is also used as the example lead cuss he knows what he’s doing

When they get together by or after Beyond the Spider-Verse, they will absolutely go to dance classes together, and perhaps even compete in dance competitions if they have the time to practice. I think they would specialize in Latin dances, like cha-cha, salsa, bachata, or jive not only because of Miles' Latin roots, but also because these dances are fun as hell.

In my opinion, there's not nearly enough fics or fanart of them dancing together haha.
