Personal Salt Goblin Headcanon:
Spilling salt is considered bad luck among humans. What if spilled grains of salt is how salt goblins happen. I know they are nicknamed that because they are the size of a salt shaker but what if someone knocking over the salt on the material plane causes a bunch of them to pop out of the ground like daisies out of little grains of seed and then they make a mess out of your house breaking things and spreading filth.
TL;DR: Spilling salt is considered unlucky because it makes Salt Goblins happen.
I have filled my sketchbook faster in the last few weeks than I have in YEARS. Read a few fics involving Fey Babies being born in a flower bud and just UGH MY HEART. It’s a [Flower] Bud Bear!
I based Baby’s design on Blupees from Breath of the Wild, and Grogu/Baby Yoda. I think it’s the ears. And salt goblins would ABSOLUTELY take credit for their first word.
