Seeing the 101 fandom talk about misogyny again and while I know fans/twitter users harbor a majority of it, I don't think I'll ever get over Pirate101 getting promised that the 'Armada will return', and seeing as the only Elite member left alive (that has *not* aided our Pirate and expressed a liking for them) was Queen, we all assumed we would finally be getting our new Big Bad Woman after all these years.
...Only for the update to not have Queen at all. And when the fandom shared its outcry, Sam's exact words were that using her would be a "copout", and he couldn't understand WHY the fans wanted to see her in the first place. We're told that she was not built for battle (WHY does she carry around a sword in her default model and fight us repeatedly in the game?), was only created for entertainment and distraction for the nobility, and was not meant to win wars.
Everything could've been set for us to face the most powerful chess piece on the board, the consort to the leader/supreme commander/lord of the Armada, but Queen seems to be a rare exception in the 101 franchise in being a female character perfectly situated to be a Commander, kicks absolute ass in her battles, and could lead the antagonist group after the death of Kane, but instead is defaulted to an 'intriguing spectable' despite proving to be capable of so much more multiple times in-game.
I don't think any of the other women villains or leads have had their potential completely stripped of them like Queen has. It is so, so weird that when the fans requested to see the only main female-coded clockwork character, we were met with incredulous scoffs and a begrudging update addition with her to the game. And the worst of it is -- it's likely we won't see her again in favor of Oksana, or Queen in any supreme element if she does return, because the writer thinks she is a "cop out" to the new story he's writing.

Love how the cast is sitting squeezed together on the sofa at the NYCC 2024 Interview 💕 (x)
Anyway, I am really excited how they will figure out the Nandermo-Relationship when it should not be explicity romantic.
After the question whether they become Nandermo romantically, Kayvan said: „(…) its a nice thought for some but you know not for these guys…“ and Paul points out: „I mean they love each other just in a way that… maybe…well you know in this last season… lets just say anyone who wonders about that (…) we‘ll get an answer that might satisfy them…“
And the giggle of the cast during and after that what Paul said… :D
WTF did they planned?
Btw Nandermo will always be canon to me, no matter if it should be romantic or not ;) I mean just look at their awesome scenes together. It was never and it will never be nandermover.

“I think it would be well, and proper, and obedient, and pure, to grasp your one necessity and not let it go…… Then even death, where you’re going no matter how you live, cannot you part. Seize it and let it seize you up aloft even, till your eyes burn out and drop; let your musky flesh fall off in shreds, and let your very bones unhinge and scatter, loosened over fields, over fields and woods, lightly, thoughtless, from any height at all, from as high as eagles.” [- Annie Dillard] [I love her [Annie Dillard’s] modest web page, btw, which says: “I’m sorry. I’ve never promoted myself or my books, but I used to give two public readings a year. Now I can no longer travel, can’t meet with strangers, can’t sign books but will sign labels with SASE, can’t write by request, and can’t answer letters. I’ve got to read and concentrate. Why? Beats me.”]
