"Zzzzzzzzzzz" - Samantha
One year went by really fast! I can’t believe it’s already been a whole year since I got rescued off the streets… and it’s been full of adventures!
First, I got treated for the infections I had when I was found, and had my mammaries treated for inflammations, and then I got spayed!
My fur is now gold and shiny, and it doesn’t all come apart when you pet me.
I also learned that when people come close with a towel after a bath, they aren’t going to hit me, and are actually taking care of me, so there’s no need to be scared!
I now live only on full stomaches! In the last year, I gained weight and now have strong muscles and no longer have bones showing through. I’m so happy that I get to eat everyday and that I no longer have to eat garbage. Life is wonderful!
I learned and now dominate a bunch of different commands: I know how to sit, lay down, go, stay, go to my place, eat on command… I’m a great student!
I also learned that I’m not allowed on the furniture, which in the beginning was such a bummer, but now I have, like, three beds, so it’s totally fine!
I’m still learning how big I am and how huge my mouth is, so sometimes when I’m playing with a toy and push it against someone’s leg, I bite the toy and their leg, and they get mad, but I promise I’m working on that!
I'm still pretty scared of thunder, airplanes, and big dogs, but hey, one step at a time, right?
I finally learned to walk around with my head held high, and my eyes don’t look as sad anymore.
However, in the last year, I wasn’t the only one who learned a bunch. I taught my family and friends that pitbulls are actually really big dorks, and not the evil things people make of us. I also showed them how much love a rescued pup can bring to human life, and how rescuing a pup is also saving a life.
So now I’m going to get ready for the next 365 days the best way I can: nap time!!! ❤️
The wind brings many smells, like those of my cat enemies!!!
I don't know why people keep saying I love to sleep.... It's not like I'm always sleeping!
Weekends are for sleeping in and doing nothing, sort of what I already do all week 👍🏼
It's raining and thundering, so I'm hiding under the office table
Human has to go to work, BUT I DON'T woohoo
Is it really Monday already?
