Some outfits for Bia. (Did you know Blaire had a nickname? ...Me neither!) I did this earlier this year because I never draw chibis of my own OCs anymore and I was trying to combat that... but it turned into a whole outfit spread somewhere along the way... Whoops! These outfits were based on polyvore sets i did for her; and though the styling is a bit outside their story’s costuming “era” now, I still like em!

also her fashion style is 1990s to early 2000s grungy skater boy aesthetic, often all black, sometimes with some blue or gray denim. things like skinny jeans, band t-shirts, flat bill caps or beanies, zip up hoodies, pullover hoodies, the occasional grungy button up, converse sneakers and slip on vans. it might help to try shopping in the guy’s department at stores, or checking out outlets that specifically cater to SoCal ‘skater’ style, like Vans, Tilly’s, Quicksilver, Journey’s, etc.
You can always just window shop those kinds of websites/stores to get an idea of “the look” too, without breaking your bank affording name brands. Any old knock-off will work, honestly. I’m pretty sure sara’s owned the same 10 generic hoodies and 4 pairs of shoes since middle school and has every intention to wear them out... which, tbqh, is also part of “the look”, lmao.

anon1: She’s still around! It’s just that Chryssa’s story was really weak and never really got off the ground, so Dye suggested making her a supporting character. Atm Dye’s adopted her to help me flesh out, but she’ll be back sometime!
anon2: yep atka’s fairly poly, it’s kind of a part of his lifestyle since he’s always moving around and lives a pretty dangerous life and can’t really see himself settling down with one person. since he works for Azadi he considers him a main squeeze but solaris!ellie would be one of those other black market friends he does favors for on the regular huhuhuh
@sharas VITA IS GOOD AND ALL GROWED UP AND BEAUTIFUL I haven’t touched ORAS in a long fucking time but I 100% intend to draw my team for this game at some point, including her. have a picture!!!
@anon3: yes!! sorry for the confusion. In the Solaris world uses gender neutral pronouns in their spoken language (which is very chinese inspired) so everyone uses it even if they ID as cis. I'll use their other gendered pronouns for modern AUs or in passing (like rilu is she/her and they/them)
When we draw/write the comic out they’ll exclusively use they/them when referring to each other in it- at least, that’s the idea!

does Sam and Sara's story take place in the past or is it modern day?
Also vague! The aesthetics and fashion are loosely 1980-1990, but there will be combinations of smartphones, old game systems, hybridized eras of computers and telephones, etc. It’s actually slightly inspired by the supernatural horror movie It Follows (minus the horror aspects, of course.) and the way the staging deliberately took you out of a specific timeframe. Due to that we’ll probably be removing any pop culture references too. It’s not supposed to be accurate to the real-world, more isolated to encompass more of the visual themes we want to explore.
