How I feel about this character:
SEE ABOVE, but no really he is so cute and so hot and it’s all very unfair. I still have a gif that sandy made me of Ucchi and King dancing together from the ending, named GIFHUSBANDO. No regrets.
He’s very much out of his element culture wise but he tries anything he does with earnest, and cares a lot about both his team and people in general. This ranges from worrying about Ian treating ladies well, to even people he hates like Dogold caring about “hey where’s your pride?” because he may REALLY HATE THE DUDE but you still have pride in yourself.
If sad, I just need to picture him finding a kitten left out in the rain and being VERY SERIOUS about finding it a home and getting it warm and he is so serious about that kitty. His sacred duty is getting that cat a nice home (Which of course ends up being him, he keeps it at Amy’s house, and spends a very long time picking out the name. Also said kitten follows him to sword practice with Souji and takes nap nearby when it gets tired of exploring.)

Ummmmmm????? Man this is a short list, but not the shortest of the sambas. I’m here for Daigo and Ucchi formost, just like the show apparently. Amy and Ucchi are also gr8, and in general I prefer just friendship for him and Souji but I’m open to Amy/Souji/Ucchi.
This is a new thing I have just thought, thinking on this right now, but wow I would be curious to see how Yayoi/Ucchi would work??? I’m not sure if I’d like it but huh.

Ian and Ucchi having horrible misadventures, of the “Ian stop that” variety. I don’t really ship them or Nossan/Ucchi but man they are fun to have intereact. ALSO WOW UCCHI AND TORIN! Not as much as Torin and Ucchi, but I love them.
My unpopular opinion about this character
Uuuum????? I cannnn’t really think of any with Ucchi? Way more with the others. I guess if people he’s cute AND badass, you done fucked up. He can kick some serious ass and can do that all while being a big sweetie.
One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon.
NEEDS MORE ARCS WITH EVERYONE, I want day trips for everyone with Ucchi. Everyone. But I especially want ones with him and Yayoi, and him and Nossan, and not just because what are you doing Toei with not giving her more screen time!!! They could also be really cute friends but WHO KNOWS, and we never will at the current rate.
