Poppy: So, is this a ‘ quiet get-together’ kind of party? Or a ‘party hard!’ kind of party?
Sam: Hah, Marcia and I put those days behind us. It’s just a simple Halloween party. You know, costumes, music, some noxious-looking party punch—boring stuff really.
Poppy: Your definition of boring is a little odd.
---
Sam: Look, it’ll be fun, I promise. And there’ll be some cool folks there. A nice low-pressure environment to meet new people! Plus masks make for waaaay cooler first impressions.
Poppy: Gosh, I don’t even know what to wear.
Sam: Just throw something together. Doesn’t have to be super elaborate.
---
Poppy: Yeah, I guess I have some pieces that might work...Do you think doing some facepaint would be too much?
Sam: Not at all! Go for it, hun.
Poppy: Sure! I’ll think of some ideas. So, who’s going to be at this party anyway?
---
Sam: Uh, let me see. We have Tim from the liquor store, Greg that kid Marcia tutors, Danielle from work...Oh, Kathy and Sullivan too. They live up the street.
Poppy: Sully is going to be there...?
Sam: Oh, have you already met? They’re a treat, if a bit loud. Hahaha!
---
Poppy: Yeah, I went looking for Bax’s owner before you guys stopped by the other night. Sully seemed really...nice.
Sam: Uh huh... Did you happen to meet his fiancé Kathy?
Poppy: She sort of stormed off as I got there. I look forward to meeting them both at the party then...
