About:
Kory’s mother died during childbirth with him, however, she reawakened as a vampire not long after Kory’s birth. To this day, Kory doesn’t know who turned his mother. But her turning was too much for his parents to bare. His father took off not able to love a monster like a vampire and not able to deal with the possibility of his son being a Hybrid, to him it was impure.
Kory is very guarded, he usually masks anything with sarcasm. Getting a straight answer out of him, well good luck with that. Because of his abandonment issues he doesn’t like to say the words ‘I love you.’ He’s only said it to his adoptive family (and that took years) and three women. One of those whom he hasn’t told how he feels (Lizzie)
Kory always wanted to join the Marines (tactical force) instead due to being in Orleans for his family he settled for becoming a cop. Kory still wonders what would have happened if he enlisted.
Kory is a father to his and Lizzies child. Ryder Noah Hildegard. The little boy is Kory’s everything and reminds him of his humanity. He however worries what the hell kind of species his child is with Lizzie being a Siphoner and him a Hybrid. He won’t abandon his child though.
Kory was shot and killed by his partner (who was running a drug ring) he blames the crookedly run department for that. So he worked his way to being deputy Sheriff, he wants to make sure the towns inhabitants are actually safe.

foster past- Kory had been in plenty of foster homes, someone he spent time with in one of those homes (good Frances Rosza or bad).
shooting partner - kory has an affinity for the ‘toys’ in his life. Someone he spends time with at the range and grabs beers with after work.
