This is not a new issue.

I always wanted to be a police officer and help people but its kinda hard when always growing up around the idea and seeing that police only create the illusion of safety for certain people and instead incite fear and mistrust. It's clear now why for others when looking at Ferguson. It's not the first time. It's just one of many.
