Something on my mind but like, if someone only or primarily RPs for the sole purpose of writing sexual RP and masturbating during the process while actively engaged in writing and their RP partner is not aware, that is a huge problem, especially if the person has developed an MO or playbook for enacting this type of behavior. That isn’t consensual and it isn’t okay, unless it’s clearly known by both parties what they are consenting to (and I’m sure there are groups in the world for that kind of thing specifically or people have agreements about it in private. I realize that some people explicitly get off from the lack of consent and yes, I am going to “kinkshame” that). I’m not saying it’s abnormal if someone gets turned on writing nsfw, of course that happens, and like, what you do outside of the interaction is your own business. But if you’re actively talking to someone and touching yourself and essentially using them as masturbation material while they aren’t aware, you’re forcing them to participate in something they never signed up for and that isn’t okay. That is sexual harassment.
If you RP, it is important to be aware of intentions and to trust your gut if someone is making you uncomfortable or trying to force something you haven’t consented to. Always know the boundaries of both yourself and your RP partner with what you’re okay with in general, but especially if you’re writing nsfw material. Roleplay should be something enjoyable and rewarding, but everyone should be aware of and on board with what is going on, both in and outside of the actual writing.
