when sam gave eric her sweater with the note already in it because she’d been planning that all along

when sam entrusted her cat to eric knowing he’d take care of him

When Eric asked Sam what meds she needs, that was him proposing. Then when he put the patch on, that was their marriage ceremony.

Not the people who say that if Eric and Samira are romantic in the movie A Quiet Place that would be a predatory relationship ?!

How can we be so off base ?!

So personally, whether it was me, my friends, or my own parents, they did not perceive this relationship as platonic, for us there is clearly a romantic undertone between the characters and if you only saw friendship in it, very well it is.

That's just as valid, but pretending the idea makes you uncomfortable because of the age gap ?!

That if the relationship is romantic it is a representation of a predatory relationship ?!

WTF ?!

Eric is an adult, fuck you !

We are dealing with two adult characters.

And even if the film assumed something unambiguously romantic or not, it wouldn't be anything like a predatory relationship, I'm sick of these puritanical assholes, they need to get treatment after a while.

It was confirmed that Eric is a gay man. I'm glad they made Eric and Samira strictly platonic. It was really great. Anyone who ships them romantically. . .well, I can't stop you, but Eric is absolutely a gay man. It's like shipping Robin and Steve.
