This was not the way he wanted to start out the morning. Especially when it came to Kiyoshi; he was everything to him. He made him smile, made him laugh…overall made him happier than before he had met him.
Now he was leaving, and Sousuke, in his groggy sleep ridden state, couldn’t exactly find the words to say, or the questions to ask, because the rejection hadn’t sunk in quite yet, the information had yet to process in the teal eyed man’s brain….Almost as if his brain and his heart were working together to make sure that Sousuke would not be even more damaged than he already had been…. Slowly, his lips parted, and checking it over in his mind, asked in return,
"Will you come back…?" Not, “Why”, not “Am I not good enough for you?” No. Sousuke wasn’t worried about that…he wanted to know if….if Kiyoshi, the one person he gave both his heart, and potentially his soul to…was going to end up killing him in the end.
Teppei wasn't sure exactly what he would get in a reply. He had been with other people before, but saying this to Sousuke--he wasn't exactly sure what kind of reaction he'd give. Anger? Acceptance? Would he cry? There was something still in his chest as he waited and watched the slow movements of his lips, his own eyes almost glued there before listening to him speak. His own actions as slow as the others, he tucked his bag over his shoulder and reached up with a slightly shaking hand to fiddle with the adjustment on the strap--though the length was fine, he needed something to do with his hands. To grip something.
"I'm not sure," he answered honestly. Because he deserved that--honesty. He didn't deserve to be lied to, and to tell him 'no' or 'yes' would be just that--a lie. Because Teppei didn't even know what was so wrong that he needed to leave, not really--but he knew that he did. Need to leave. Which was why he had packed his bag, which was why they were having this conversation.
"I'm not sure . . " he repeated once more, softy this time as his broad hands gripped the strap even tighter.
