JOKKMOKK, Sweden â Police have removed some 50 screaming and singing activists who were blocking a road in northern Sweden to protest a British companyâs plans to build an iron ore mine.
I don't like the headline "police scuffle with activists", sounds like exaggerating to me and it is not neutral journalism. But it is still good that this thing is in the news now.
In addition to the piece of news above: The have been protesters in Jokkmokk since beginning of July (accordind to Finnish news site Yle uutiset). Now the mining company is starting the exploding work in the mining area and that's why the police and security company Securitas are called to get activists out of there.
