ARE YOU GETTING CLOSER TO YOUR NEXT LEVEL?
Although it’s only been a week since we started, by now you should already start noticing some changes. For me, work is picking up again. For some reason, I find that when I’m focused and set out to accomplish something, the universe transpires to help me accomplish my goals.
On top of that, when I’m at work, I feel bad ass cause I’m not feeling bad about having skipped the gym, or drinking too much wine or looking too fat. Those negative thoughts aren’t able to attack me because I’m doing what I’m supposed to be doing and it feels great.
The other day I had a session with a legendary music producer, Pat Leonard. He’s written a lot of Madonna’s greatest tunes like “Like A Prayer” and was her musical director. The above pic was taken outside his home. He’s a musical genius and it’s always a pleasure to work with him.
Right now he’s working on a musical for Broadway and even though we’ve worked together many times before, even he commented “I’ve worked with you several times before, but I’ve never heard THAT.” The “that” he was referring to was me as my best self. In the past when he hired me, I was a session singer. I wasn’t living a lifestyle that made me feel confident. So since my voice is my instrument, that lack of confidence and ownership of my best voice was very prevalent.
However as I stood in that million dollar home in the hills, now I was singing my heart out because in my mind, I was on my next level. I was Sammi Nicks, bad-ass-pop-star that’s vegan, in shape, honoring God, etc. So of course he got a different performance. Not weighed down by guilt and shame about what I’m not doing that I know I should be doing, I was able to be a pure vessel and let God sing through me. And when God sings, trust me, you wanna be around to hear it.
On top of that, I just launched a music night on the Sunset Strip where I can sing weekly on Thursday nights and connect with my fans. If I’m going to be SAMMI NICKS, I need to be singing at least once a week and getting my chops up so I can book that tour!
So today I want you to write down 5 things that you noticed have improved since you embarked on your journey to the next level. If things aren’t improving, I encourage you to try harder this week to stick to your next level lifestyle and work hard on being disciplined so you can manifest those changes.
Here’s my list as an example…
1) Added confidence
2) More energy
3) Better performance at work
4) More driven
5) Launched next level business idea
