Osamu comforts a reader dealing with extreme stress
You came back to the apartment, dropping your bag on ground after removing your shoes in the entry way. You couldn’t muster it out of your throat to announce your arrival but your loving boyfriend Osamu came over to greet you. He smiles sympatheticlg, taking you to the couch. Samu was always there for you. Never asked questions until the time was right. Always knew just what to say and do. Osamu was the perfect boyfriend, especially as of late.
He pulls you into him, wrapping you up tightly. He watched you just deteriorate right before him these past few months. And all he could do was watch as the stress and workload and weight of the world weighed down on you so heavily.
Truthfully, Osamu didn’t know when you’d crossed the breaking point but as you limply sat in his lap, curled up, he knew you were too far past. The stress tics, the random and untimely laughs, the screaming, the crying spells. Your body was on autopilot so much so that you can barely sleep anymore. Your body had trained itself to continue on regardless of emotional or mental state. And all you could do was watch in third person as your corpse of a body went through the motions of the day.
All you could tell yourself was : few more weeks and winter break would come. You just needed to make it to break. Then you could rest and mentally reset all you needed. You’d go ice skating with Samu, make some cookies, do all kinds of fun things. But for now, you just needed to make it through these next few weeks.
Osamu kissed your temple, rubbing you back in slow circles. “You’re so close, hun. It’s practically right there. Just breathe with me for a bit, kay? Can ya do that?”
You felt yourself nodding slowly, eyes heavy from exhaustion and crying. “Yeah.”
“I know it’s rough, babe. We’re gunna get through these finals.”
