OOC/ALIAS NAME: Jason
CHARACTER DESIRED: He/Him
TIMEZONE: EST
ACTIVITY: 7, I’m a student so it might get a little tricky at times though
DESCRIBE THE CHARACTER: I think Sam is a kind and helpful person, he’ll go out of his way to help someone in need how ever he can. He is clever, opinionated, outspoken, loud and brash, he will speak up if he sees something is wrong or some sort of injustice is being committed and he is not afraid to clash with anyone if he feels they are wrong, although this could get him into some trouble at times. The way Sam sees himself is as a new generation, a chance to begin again and right the wrongs his family had done over the past century, or at least try to.
PARA SAMPLE:
“They’re all a bunch of flea ridden two-legged mongrels” the Slytherin boy said in that plummy, snobbish tone that was prevalent among Slytherins, “They’re demanding rights and they need to be put in their place.” Sam was sitting a few feet away and heard this 6th years remarks, no doubt mirroring his parents views, he turned to him and said with his slight german accent,
"You know werewolves are people too, just as much as you and me" The boy looked around to see who said that, he then looked at Sam and smiled, he was well known for his activism and advocacy for werewolves during the war.
"They’re nothing more than animals Steen, unless you’re too stupid to tell the difference"
"They’re not, you ignorant little weasel" Sam said standing up and walking over to the boy, "Every werewolf I’ve ever know was a kind, gentle, caring person, a person that suffers form a horrible curse and we treat them like second class citizens just because of it. When we should be helping them." The boy just stared at him blankly trying to find what he could say "And it’s people like you who are the worst, spouting those hateful comments without knowing anything." The boy kept quiet and backed away, realizing he was not match for Sam.
Sam sat back down, and tried to continue reading his friends potions notes, but he couldn’t take his mind of what that boy had said. He’d been hearing that kind of talk his entire life, from his family, people he grew up with, other students, it just doesn’t stop. He wonders why he does it, why he fights so hard when the rest of the wizarding world just disregards it and continues treating werewolves like shit, and passing down that mentality, those ideas to the next generation. But then he remembers he’s not doing it for himself, he’s doing it for the werewolves who can really use the kind of influence and publicity he can provide, they’re people in need and he has to help them, or at least try. It’s also more than that, he is also doing it for his family, to try and right the numerous wrongs his family has done the past century, god knows what his ancestors did in the second world war, and his grandparents and parents, all high profile deatheaters during the great war, later claiming they were under the affects of the imperius curse to avoid punishment. But that’s Just the way Sam is, he always has to stick up for the little guy, unlike the rest of his family who will just step on the little guy in the name of power.
