On the 40th anniversary, my parents made the news by recreating what they were doing the year they met. It's a cute story, but I'm just sitting here, reading the article and rolling my eyes because of course they would.
Of course, exactly 40 years after the last time my state experienced so much snowfall that they were worried about flooding, my parents would see a call for volunteers on Facebook (neither of them are ever on fb, I have no idea how this fucking happened) to fill sandbags.
Of course, despite being in their 50's and my mom with a bad back, they'd go anyway - to recreate their meeting.
And of course a news team would pick them to interview, learn their cute story and spread it to the others so that they were interviewed by three other news teams.
And, of course, they'd mention that they were gonna go babysit their granddaughter after. Meaning Little Miss has now been mentioned in a news article.
Edit two weeks later- my parents are in their 50's. Not 40's.
