            feet slowly come to a halt as sakura arrives at the sand village.   she speaks with the guards outside of the village,  following in to see the lord kazekage.   she was given this mission by kakashi,  gaara was coming to visit and needed a shinobi to protect him on his journey there and back.   a tap on the door is given,  before talking through to him.    ❝   lord kazekage,  i’m here to take you to the leaf village   !   ❞

“Did someone say something to you?” Kankuro asked. He knew his brother had feelings and since they’d gotten closer after the first chunin exams and he wouldn’t have anyone bad talking him.

A patient waking up should not cause such stir in the hospital. His first few moments of facing the light were groggy. The tight bandages across his chest was ringing with dull pain that would spike every so often. He groaned, not used to feeling nothing but pain. Strange... because he could not feel any immediate presence in his senses.

It would be a few minutes later when two ANBU would come in, having heard some movements in the ward. Madara could hear the deep, shocked breath they sucked in through their masks.

A beat of stillness.

Then they slammed the door shut and raced to find god knows who. Another few minutes and in came dreadfully familiar faces. He met their stunned faces with furrowed brows, a mix between confusion and illness. They kept him alive, why are they shocked to see him awake?

It was Tsunade that broke the jarring silence. Her questions of his comfort and health too soft, too gentle. So unlike the woman he fought on the battlefield. They wanted to touch him, to check. But he waved them off. In doing that, his nerves pained... and that was when he realized that his chakra system was destroyed. And it seemed like they knew this disability of his, if their sympathetic faces were anything to go by. Let’s give him a moment, one of them says when his eyes shut painfully, withdrawing into himself due to the pain of his nerves. Yes, he did need a god damned moment.

Out of the corner of his eyes, he saw the door close softly. But he could see the weight of the world in their steps. Why did they save him? Why, oh why. He could have gone...! He could have gone to Hashirama... ...

sOOO what's Kaku's most painful memory of his family? His team?

       When it comes to both of those, there are more happy moments than painful or sad, really. But the painful ones tend to outshine the happy ones even so.

       When it comes to the most painful memory of his family, it has to be when his older brother died. Kakuzu was extremely close to his brother, seeing as Akemi raised him and did damn near everything with him. He even trained him when their father wasn’t around, being a lot more gentle and understanding with Kakuzu in comparison. Kakuzu looked up to his brother a lot. That’s even why he started wearing his mask since his brother would wear one whenever he’d go out on missions. They even had this little ritual type thing where Kakuzu would wear a mask of his own for as long as his brother was gone on a mission, only taking it off when he returned. But he just… didn’t return one day. The only thing that returned was his headband to their front door. Understandably, Kakuzu wasn’t quite the same after that. Akemi was twenty-six when he died, with Kakuzu receiving the news a day before his 17th birthday - which is a big reason why he doesn’t celebrate or even recognise his birthday anymore, besides the fact that he’s too damn old to care anymore.

       The most painful memory of his team happened around two years later when he and the other two members of the team were nineteen. It was both the day that Kumi died and when he abandoned his other teammate and best friend, Toshihiro. They were on a mission and were very high-level chūnin at this point - they were basically about to be promoted to jōnin, really. This was going to be their last day as chūnin. Kakuzu got separated from both Kumi and Toshihiro partway through the mission, though none of them had any worries since Kumi and Toshihiro were both pretty damn beast like, and Kakuzu did even better when he didn’t have to worry about teammates whilst fighting. But when Kakuzu met up with the others, Kumi was dead and Toshihiro was left with little to no will to fight due to that. Kakuzu ended up cleaning up the two shinobi that were left, taking the satin necklace from around Kumi’s neck to keep for a few years, and abandoning Toshihiro for not doing his best to protect her.

       So yeah. Sad ass shit bruh.

My Interpretation | Always Accepting!

(More fanon than canon, but I dislike the constant need people have with putting her in other ships than her canonical one. To be honest, I don’t mind that she is shipped with others in RP (I think that’s fine and can be very interesting!) but people go out of their way to throw her to everyone else and devalue some of her relationships.

Like with Kiba and Shino. I love that they’re a small family. The boys have pretty active home/family lives that Hinata lacks, and they nurture her, give her a family she sorely lacks back at home. I love that, I love platonic and family based friendships immensely.

Romantic and sexual ships just… Don’t do it for me. I don’t tend to care for them unless they serve a function, and the constant need to turn any and all interactions into ships bothers me, a lot.
