In episode 6, Death implies that she goes to every person (and it seems also thing) that dies and personally escorts them to the afterlife, but she strolls between appointments and time seems to pass. How is she able to be there for everyone at their death? Does she exist in linear time?

When the first living thing existed, I was there, waiting. When the last living thing dies, my job is finished. I'll put the chairs on the tables, turn out the lights and lock the universe behind me when I leave.
