How about an old rescue who hasn't the same energy as a puppy? I wouldn't recommend dachshund because they are / were hunting dogs and they can have soooo much energy a flat wouldn't fit them..
This is a good idea and I support it!... but I’m not sure if I’d be the right one to take an old rescue dog. I’d assume older dogs are more likely to have medical problems due to aging and me being a first time owner would probably be the worst caretaker of someone in need like that. Maybe in the future though!

*Taught programming (though I may go back tbh just to get back to NYC) and yeah it is awesome! I'm working as a web developer atm (though honestly I do more internal automation tools building vs actual HTML/CSS/JavaScript) so nobody to teach besides folks who ask lol
