I finally FINALLY finished the rest of the OG sandwich limerick and I have a few words for you *aggressively holds back tears*

To start: holy mother fucking Jesus riding a fucking tricycle you are literally so fucking talented. You made a deal with the devil to have such a talent for writing and you will not be convincing me otherwise. Rest assured that my compliments would be far more specific and grand if I wasn't so fucking emotionally traumatized at the moment.

I stayed up until 4am finishing this story and for what?! More emotional baggage! I don't think you realize the things you've caused. I'm going to need another therapist. And what am I supposed to tell them?! That I fell in love with like 8 fictional vampires who are based on actual people and just went through a whole war and lost everything, even in their victory because some stupid ass hoe named y/n decided to show up and fuck up everything! Just like always because they're a NUISANCE?! I CAN'T TELL MY THERAPIST THAT, MICA. I'LL BE INSTITUTIONALIZED!

Was I expecting a super lovely nice happy fairytale ending? Fuck no, I'm not an idiot. I know what I get into when I read angsty shit. I know. I accepted the consequences.

But there's a line. A line that is hard to miss and YOU JUST DECIDED TO YEET THE FUCK OVER IT. *can no longer hold back tears*

Found family being ultimately shattered? That's fine too. One of my favourites to read and write.

It isn't even the fact that they have to move again. Or that one if two could potentially be fucking dead. No no.

I always have a love for side characters. I always simp for the side characters. And I will have you know, you did Felix dirty.

You had NO RIGHT TO MAKE HIM DO THAT IN THE LAST CHAPTER OKAY. NO RIGHT. I WAS FINE. GREAT EVEN. I DIDN'T CRY ONCE OVER ANY OF THE ACTUAL PEOPLE AND THEN YOU HAD TO GO AND HURT THAT POOR PRECIOUS BOY. HOW COULD YOU?! *literally sobbing*

AND I KNOW I SAID I LOVE THE WHOLE "SHATTERED FOUND FAMILY" BUT FUCKING HELL WOMAN, YOU DIDN'T HAVE TO INCLUDE "SHATTERED EMOTIONAL STABILITY OF MY READERS" TOO! YOU KNOW WE'RE ALL MENTALLY UNSTABLE WHY WOULD YOU FUEL IT?! it still hurts man

I HAVE A DEEP LOVE FOR PRETTY THINGS, ESPECIALLY ARTWORK. THE FIRST THING I EVER FUCKING CRIED ABOUT IN THIS STORY IS THE STAINED GLASS BEING BROKEN. I MADE IT THAT FAR AND NOW IT'S ALMOST 5AM AND I'M HAVING AN EMOTIONAL CRISIS OVER STAINED FUCKING GLASS.

This is all y/n's fault. They always fuck up everything I swear to the fucking gods.

And yes, I'm well aware that you're going to thrive in my suffering, you monster. As a writer, it's one of the most fun things to do. But that doesn't mean I'm happy about it. 😑

(Just leaving a side note here to say this is all out of a very powerful and emotional reaction to your outstanding writing ability. You're amazing and a wonderful person I don't think you're actually monster at all and your work was literally *chef's kiss* absolutely stunning.)

To all your writing compliments and this in particular because it made me snort laugh - thank you. I don't take compliments well just as a general rule but I'm really trying to be *better* at that because no-one likes an ungrateful wanker. Just thank you, so so much

To address your other points:

Good - personally I find the payoff more satisfying and the relationship more believable across the board, so I'm glad you're in agreement. Although I contest 'fucking idiots' - my poor characters. They tried. 😅

Found family being ultimately shattered? That's fine too. One of my favourites to read and write.

Again - good. Found families are something I'm endlessly supportive of for strong personal reason and it's not represented enough, imho.

In relation to your Felix rant, maybe try to see if it from a different perspective? I didn't write what I did as a means to hurt him or make him suffer - it was quite the opposite. His act is a choice he makes to save one he loves from further pain that he knows is going to bring this person to a form of death, albeit mentally. He chooses, in that moment, to save her the only way he can. In taking on her pain he not only fulfills the promise he made to her very early on - the 'I'll make it up to you some day' thing, but he showcases his worth to the family and plays a much, much stronger part in bringing them all together in the face of a tragedy. It's a sad thing, definitely, because it brings him pain and we don't want that for him, but ultimately I felt it was an admirably strong thing for an objectively weak (by comparison to his brothers) character to do.

As for the stained-glass window, I'll give you that one. The imagery was representative of so many things at the end there, I suppose I never saw it from an art lovers' point of view, because arguably, I'm not one. I can appreciate the surface beauty of it certainly, but not much more than that. It was only ever a tool by which I could relay beauty and impermanence in the presence of very permanent creatures. Your deep love for pretty things is a valid feeling and not one I'd considered before.

I (somewhat) thrive of the 'suffering' my writing causes because it's the evoking of emotion. Reading your all caps rants and your accusations of monstrosity and cursing of my characters is a lovely thing - I know you care enough to show it, and that I've dragged you into my world. It's almost definitely the only time I would ever accept it. 🤣

Also mica, it's counted as cheating right? Like he's cheating on MC, ik minho has that habbit of sleeping with people but there's no strings attached, but i feel like chan is getting closer to that girl and i don't like it :(( -🦁

I guess it depends on how hard you want to split hairs about it all. 💁‍♀️

Technically speaking, none of them are together. They've fucked and have feelings for one another, sure, but they've never made any such expression of exclusive commitment, i.e. I love you and I will never so much as look at another soul you are my girlfriend/boyfriend.

Minho and Chan do what they do for reasons they find justifiable - and in the same vein - MC can do what she does too. 👀 It's hard to apply the generally accepted conventions of relationships to these three because they're anything but conventional.

I think ultimately, even if they stray or wander from each other, they'll probably end up coming back together somehow

But as of right now, they're all dealing with things that make the idea of being together hard in some form or another - whether it's guilt or fear or anxiety or something else.

Hello! It’s me again! I wanted to separate this thought since the previous Ask seemed quite long already, but something that connected itself to your Origins story after I finished all of the chapters, was the concept of the Seven Deadly Sins. I’m not sure if I’m just being very human and creating a pattern out of coincidence but I thought that sharing it with you might pique your interest 😊 So here goes nothing!

Chan as Wrath—I feel like this one is pretty clear given his drive for revenge lol, but there was something distinctly heavy about his origin story that I could really just boil it down to being the weight of deep, fervent anger. We did see traces of this throughout Sanguis Limerance, and especially so at then end of it, so this thought was rather quick to come to me.

Minho as Lust—Similarly, I don’t think I’d be able to describe Minho’s character any other way apart from being lustful haha. His story began with sex and continued to play a large role in his development and his relationships (at least from what we saw in SL).

Changbin as Gluttony—His hunger to be more and for a better life struck me. And it’s sad to think that wanting more for yourself could have such dire consequences, but here we are *cries*. I really enjoyed this story and it was an interesting turn of events and mood when read right after Chan’s and Minho’s. But perhaps he did bite off more than he could chew and he was momentarily blinded by that. It’s really interesting to know that this is where his characterization originated from, and I love it (as sad as it was).

Hyunjin as Envy—I feel like when you discover a new facet of your identity and go through the motions of denying yourself of who you truly are/how you really feel, you’re bound to be envious of those who live comfortably and freely in the way that you could only dream of. And that, I feel, was the main theme of Hyunjin’s story. I really enjoyed his origin story since I’ve never seen anything like it. It really opened my eyes to how exhausting and difficult but liberating it is to find yourself and be happy with it. Although I don’t quite relate to his hardships, I could definitely appreciate the light you were able to shed on the subject and on the human mind 😊

Felix as Pride—This one I feel is a little more loose since I wholly believe in the genuine goodness that is Felix’s heart and mind (both in your series and in real life) but I felt that there were subtle hints of his actions being caused by a sense of pride. Sera definitely pointed out the possibility that he may have been doing everything because of it, but I don’t think it was directly admitted by Felix (please correct me if I’m wrong though!). And I can also see his pride in himself as being able to good blinded him from the danger that Kiana/Anika (side note: we share the same name and it was fascinating to see lol) posed in reality.

Seungmin as Sloth—Similarly, this one is a little more on the loose side as well, but my rationale is that he was somewhat complacent in his declining relationship with Violet. Of course I still completely agree that his and Isabelle’s broken relationships brought them together, buuuut there is the argument. If he was more active in figuring out where he stood with Violet after meeting Isabelle, maybe that whole situation could’ve been avoided and she wouldn’t have run out and gotten attacked (Disclaimer: I don’t mean any criticism towards the story at all, I’m just making observations on their individual characters as if they were humans. Of course if none of these events happened, we wouldn’t have SL, so I hope none of my commentaries are offensive!)

Jeongin as Greed—He wanted something he knew he couldn’t have and in turn wanted something even greater/more dangerous, simple as that haha. It was truly fascinating to see this series of events unfold and meld into the established facts and characters we’ve already been made privy to in the main series!

And for Han, I thought about placing him alongside maybe Jeongin as Greed, but in a different sense, however I ultimately decided that he kind of encompassed the Seven Heavenly Virtues (which really just expands on the classic four Cardinal Virtues of Prudence, Justice, Temperance, and Fortitude). And this thought was interesting to me when I considered how different the flow of his story was compared to the other seven members. His story was definitely much lighter and ended on a hopeful (almost happy) note. And when you consider the fact that the Seven Heavenly Virtues each essentially combat one of the Seven Deadly Sins + the fact that his story also had the most foreshadowing of his purpose in the grander schemes of things…it’s really amazing honestly. And if you didn’t intend for this parallelism at all, it’s even more amazing because it all falls so perfectly together 🤩 (sorry nerding out a bit here lol).

Sorry if all of these thoughts were super scattered! But at the very least, I hope they entertained you! 😊❣️ I’m excited to re-read SL and then binge Awakening as well! Thank you for your hard work ❣️❣️❣️

I feel like I should be giving you some kind of diploma or something after reading this THESIS of an ask and I will not even pretend that any of this was intentional on my part because it definitely was not.

Putting aside that this is all beautifully written you've managed to convince me of the applications these concepts have to my OWN characters when I didn't even see it myself.

I'll end this here because I don't think there's anything more I can add. You're unbelievably observant and I love everything about this. Your summary of Han's character made me choke up - I didn't even know I wanted something so noble for him. 😭

Also the new chapter was fire. I think Chan needed to go down this path to maybe even attempt to heal. My thoughts about it are that Chan may never be able to heal and his feelings of pain and inadequacy will be his down fall, most likely in an attempt to save MC or the clan. It's either that or Sifer somehow fuses Chan and Minho togethee because I can't see them sharing her at all.

This Minho moment makes me suspicious. I know he still loves her but he's got some issues he needs to work through before he can really expect MC to give him everything. I think now that she's gotten out of her hole, shell also see this and may even refuse him until he gets his shit together. I'm assuming he apologized for bring some random ass woman over but knowing Minho he probably didn't.

Anyways, my fiance, what season should our wedding be? I personally quite like Autumn.

Yeah they really should talk things through but more often than not MC and Minho are so busy butting heads or screwing there's not much time left for anything else. 🤣 But you never know, she might refuse him. She certainly seemed intent on staying away with what little Chan heard.
