starter for @sankted - Jordie's alive
The rumors were true, Inej thought as she perched on one of the angled banisters of the Zentsbridge. This was the third time the young man was crossing this bridge today and she began to wonder if there was any purpose in his movements or if he was simply moving about to kill time. At one point she suspected he got turned around and lost his way, but he seemed to know his way around the city too well to get directions wrong.
Her slender fingers hooked themselves into the ridges between the cobblestones that made up the impressive bridge. Scaling the side of this monument made it easier to follow her target unseen. He looked like Kaz, but his eyes were different, kinder, his hair was the same color, he lacked the cane, of course. Still, the resemblance was uncanny and it looked too real to be tailored, yet Inej was no expert on the Grisha craft.
After they made it to the other side of the canal, the acrobat ascended onto the rooftops. This was her world. Inej knew every corner of Ketterdam from above. It had been her advantage over the past hours of trailing the newcomer now it the time of observation was over. She needed answers. With a quick flick of her wrists the familiar handle of Sankta Lisabeta slid into her hand. Inej waited patiently, following her target like a shadow. The moment he turned into one of the sidestreets of the Stave she leaped without ever making a sound. Inej landed on silent feet behind her target, wrapping one arm around his wrists locking his hands in place behind him and tha sharp blade barely touching his neck. "I would not move if I were you. Knicks against the throat tend to be nasty." Her voice was level, still friendly despite the way she was restraining him, as if to give helpful advise to a stranger on the street. "I have a few questions I would like you to answer."
