This is how Everard found Santino when he was sent to check up on Rome. Santino treating rats to fancy meals
Without spending too much time on it, I'd like to talk about Armand's name.
Armand was Andrei. Marius renamed him Amadeo, "beloved by God." Not because Marius saw himself as Amadeo's God, but to return to him the very little Marius knew of him, that Andrei (at the time) had a relationship with his God and to communicate that God's love for him was not to be proven through starvation & monkhood but through experience and love of life and what existence has to offer.
That's what Marius gifts to Amadeo.
To say otherwise is backwards thinking all over that stupid fucking painting donorship slander Rolin threw out there.
Marimand is not sunshine and rainbows but it's not where everything bad that has ever happened to Armand comes from, either. I encourage you to separate the show from the novels and think for yourself without the influence of others' perspectives.
If you want a dynamic where Armand is renamed for ownership, where his individuality, selfhood, and dignity are stripped from him, look no further than literally everything Santino inflicts. Allesandra, too, if you want some flavor.
The name Amadeo is beloved, a gift. "Armand" is given to him to force him into the identity of being God's warrior, God's executioner.
Marius does not do that.
Marius tried to set him free.
They both succumbed to their own desires and burned for it.

love how qotd ends with 12 bisexuals and one asexual chilling on a private island alone talking about shit and messing around. half of them are exes. daniel is violently absorbing all of the lore he can from mael while maharet, jesse, and gabrielle are fucking around in miami and armand is playing chess with khayman and losing. Pandora is playing piano and having threesomes with santino and marius. nobody is sitting in a chair correctly. eric is there. louis and lestat are making up by fighting all the time.
"Amadeo, you play the devil." "Don't you want me to, Master? Didn't you like it? You took my blood and it made you my slave!"

Times a character's name is mentioned in Queen of the Damned book.
This is a continuation of my previous post where I did the same but for TVL.
If you haven’t read the book, reading the methodology miiight spoil you about the identity of some characters.
Nicki and Magnus appeared a sad total of two times each, and since it’s clear, when compared to the two previous books, that the complexity of the story increases both in plots and number of characters, and neither of them really participates in any plot and are merely mentioned by Lestat, I omitted their names.
Methology
Automatic count of names using the search tool of a common PDF reader.
Manual removal of a character’s name when included in titles. For example, for Khayman there is a count of 246, but there is a chapter called “Khayman, My Khayman.” In all cases, the title appears twice: in the index and as a heading in the actual chapter. Therefore, the number of times Khayman’s name is counted was adjusted to 272 instead of 276.
For the Twins and Akasha, extra titles were also added, since respectively twins and **queen represent 30% and 59% of the occasions the characters are referred to.
A small additional count was added to Akasha under the word **goddess. This title is also used for Pandora, so manual removal of those counts was also done before reaching the graphed number.
No additional names were used for any other character, unlike in the previous post. Akasha was an exception because if I didn’t do it, Armand—ARMAND (final number without extra names: 393)—would have been mentioned more than the fucking Queen (39-fucking-4). And he is my favorite, but it just felt wrong to allow that.
