@sapphiremaid | hey baby, i think i wanna marry you (from here).
It had gotten colder sooner than he would've liked to have, but they still walked back to their dorms from the football stadium. The game had gone well, that was for sure, they'd won and he was already on some kind of high from that. He shivered and let out a small breath, hovering close to her.
He yanked his gloves out of his pocket and the box fell out. Shit shit shit shit, he thought and removed his hand from hers so he could drop down quickly to retrieve it. He hoped she wouldn't notice but -- she looked down at him, sitting there on his knee with the ring box in his hand.
Jaime had not exactly planned to do it here, like this, on the riverbank on the way home from a football game (and he probably looked like a drowned rat after his shower in the locker room) but -- here it was; her eyes were staring at him like that and. Fuck it.
He had written a speech and planned some big romantic thing, but he'd gone and mucked that all up. They'd been together three years now and he'd wanted to do it right. Now at the moment, trembling, he tried to remember what he was going to say, but -- he had probably over thought it anyway so --
"Marry me, Blue."
