I was pretty much with people all day yesterday, and as the extremely introverted person that I am, that leads to me being emotionally exhausted and it can often lead to an anxiety attack. I had school all day, then went home for an hour with a friend, then had drama, then went home for fifteen minutes to change (which was pretty much the only alone time I had), then went to work, then came for fifteen minutes to shower (which included my parents harassing me about a bunch of random shit) and then went to a senior meeting/game night until a little past midnight. and then I came home and just started freaking out over little things and yeah, that's what happened.

ugh and I'm so angry, this hasn't happened since November on my senior trip, when I was with everyone for literally all day and started crying hysterically in the corner of the living room. 

anywho. thanks again jessepinkmanly and saragrissom. thought I'd just explain what happened. I really really appreciate it, so thank you so much.

Sara Sidle; trying to be more like her has actually be a conscious goal of mine throughout my recovery. She’s been a really great inspiration for me ♥

In some very specific parts of very specific episodes, dear sweet Nicky Stokes just acts like a total judgemental ass, so I guess him sometimes.

8. A pairing that I love:

basically all of them, but mostly CSR {a.k.a. Cara} and GSR

9. A pairing that I despise:

basically anything that involves Ecklie because I mean wtf like he’s just a stupid idiot and I boo every time he comes on screen literally

10. Favorite character:

I’d probably have to say Catherine Willows for this one too, but I really adore her, Grissom, and Sara with equally intense but different loves.

11. What are my five favorite things about the fandom.

1) it’s relatively small so I’ve actually talked to most of the tumblr-based members of it and they’ve all been super sweet :)

2) basically all of our characters are just really fucking hot, and while so many different pairings are hinted at, very few ever become and remain canon, so there are lots of options for ships and fics and such.

3) I’ve honestly learned so freaking much about criminalistics, the justice system, Las Vegas, social structures, the rough city culture I’ve never been exposed to in reality, humanity and just living a good, moral life despite personal weaknesses and emotions from watching CSI.

4) because it’s been on for so long and has been so popular, there’s a shit ton of fanfic to be found online. ;D

5) I feel like CSI tries to help prove one of the things I believe most strongly about people, which is that there is good in every human being.

12. What are my five least favorite things about the fandom.

1) I personally hate that Marg left the show and haven’t watched anything that’s aired since she did simply because it was my first ever fandom and it touches me in a special way because I found it when I was in such a bleak place, so I feel like doing so would be too upsetting for me

2) the CSI and CSR tags are full of cars and that same fucking “bitch I watch CSI” poster and lots of other non-CSI-related content, which is no one’s fault but it still sucks

3) the fact that they were able to bring Sara back but not Grissom even when they were married

4) there really haven’t been as many lgbtq+ storylines as there could’ve been, particularly ones that weren’t all about the oddity of switching/blending genders or queerness

5) ummm… Ecklie…?

in no particular order because I can’t choose between my babies: Catherine Willows, Sara Sidle, Gil Grissom, Nick Stokes, Doc Robbins

I only actively dislike Ecklie, Riley, and certain bad guys I guess

15. What are my five favorite pairings.

in no order again: CSR, GSR, Grillows, Wedges, Sillows… God I could really just keep going all the way to like 20 with this show

16. What are my five least favorite pairings.

the only ones I categorically disapprove of are Sara/Langston and Hodges with anyone but Wendy

17. Which character are you most like.

wow… I don’t even know. I’m maybe like a strange mixture of Grissom and Sara and Wendy…?

18. What is my deep, dark fandom secret

lol well I’ve talked about it on here multiple times by now, but yeah this was my original fandom and I found it at a point in my life when I hated myself and felt desperately alone and depressed, so it’s sortof in its own category of holiness, which is why most mentions of it on my blog end with a little <3… and also why I literally just ignore canon after a certain point in the show. Like in my mind, anything after Langston leaves doesn’t exist, simply because it’s better for my sanity that way.

remus/tonks - meeting the parents :))

"They'll love you, Remus; stop worrying," Tonks assured him, taking some time to adjust the coat she was wearing. She mussed her hair up in front of the mirror, laughing as she allowed it to change from pink to green. Tonks might have been relatively at ease, but Remus most certainly was not. He'd never been big on relationships; most of his adolescence was spent with his nose shoved in a book or running off with James, Sirius, and Peter. There had been childhood crushes and brief instances in which Remus thought that maybe--maybe--there might have been something, but...for the most part, the rest of his life had been spent in a great deal of isolation. The Marauders had been all he had...until Tonks came along.

He loved her first name--secretly, he allowed the letters to caress his tongue; he would sometimes whisper her name when he was alone...simply because he could. But she'd wrinkle her nose and snort whenever he referred to her as "Nymphadora", so Remus would stay quiet and revert back to Tonks. Because it was what she wanted, because she was stubborn about her name, and because...he loved her enough to do whatever she asked.

"I'm not so sure," Remus answered quietly, adjusting the dingy old suit jacket he'd picked out from the bottom of his trunk. He'd tried to comb his hair into a somewhat presentable sort of appearance today, but nothing--nothing--helped soothe his nerves about meeting Tonks' parents. 

"Your parents are closer to my age than I am to yours," Remus commented suddenly, calling the grin on Tonks' face to fall. She turned to face him, quietly observing the man she'd grown to call a lover. Andromeda and Ted had known of Remus for years, of course, but...this was different; this would be the first time he was presented to them as their daughter's...boyfriend. Remus Lupin was in his thirties and that was what he was...a boyfriend. It felt so juvenile, but...he didn't think he'd change it for the world. Not even to escape what was sure to be a painful dinner with her mum and dad.

"Mum and dad...they'll understand," Tonks replied quietly, taking his face in her hands. She stood on the tips of his toes and pressed a quick kiss to his lips, pulling away and imploring with him to see reason. Remus sigh, shaking his head and holding out his hand for her to take.

"I hope," was the last thing he muttered before Tonks Disapparated them both to the exterior of her childhood home. He could tell she was a bit jittery herself, but didn't comment on the matter; there was absolutely no way he wanted to make matters more tense than they needed to be. So when Tonks lifted a hand and knocked on the front door of her parents' house three times, Remus told himself again and again that...it would be alright, it would be alright, it would be alright.

And when Andromeda Tonks--roughly six or so years his senior--opened the door and smiled warmly at the both of them, Remus nearly tripped over himself then and there.

"Remus...welcome," Andromeda began, nodding towards him and her daughter before stepping to the side and permitting them entrance into her home.

Maybe...just maybe...dinner wouldn't be so bad after all.

B - Who the last person I talked to on the phone was: that would be my mother. H - The last person I hugged: I actually don’t know? But I’m p sure it’d be one of my housemates, when we both back to uni after the break. M - If I forgive betrayal: I’d love to say yes, I think clemency is amazing but the truth is I really only half do. I’m very much a person who’ll forgive but not forget, usually because often if someone does something in the vein of a betrayal, i can’t keep it from popping into the back of mind whenever i interact with them. S - 2 habits: I always fiddle with my jewellery, like with the charms on my necklace or something, i also always fiddle with my fringe, like i’ll tuck it behind my ear, untuck it and then do it again.
