I was remembering a comic I read back in the day that I can't remember the name of, but the basic idea was a bdsm-centric society that was kind of utopian. Public pet play parks, latex and vinyl as regular clothes and uniforms.

Submissives in service jobs, Dominates as high powered CEO types mostly. It leaned into stereotypes, but there was also a sense of equality, like the coffee shop waitress was not struggling to pay rent or buy toys, etc. and the CEO Dominate couldn't just pull a sub off the street - there were laws and protections and contracts and a whole social system built up.

Plus there's someone on bsky and when I can find it I'll link it, that has this like Sex Positive Resort story about a husband and wife who teach and reform people about sex so that they can both enjoy it - and perform it well. It's a very sex positive and kind of sex therapy positive AU that's done in a 1890s-1910s kind of medical vibe without all the dark themes and such.

Those two things kind of got me chewing on this, and honestly the more I get to chewing the more I do want to really get down into the roots xD
