Can a person be a mix of both Slytherin and Gryffindor?

absolutely!! a person can be a mix of any combination of the houses really!

gryffindor and slytherin are two sides of the same coin, and in my mind this is why they don’t always get along. gryffindors tend to be more “do first, think after” and slytherins tend to be more “think first, do after”. but because they’re too sides of the same coin, they have a lot in common, which is why it is absolutely possible to be a mix of both!!

i also like to think that the house characteristics are more what you either value more or aspire to be, rather than what you are already, so if you value characteristics from both slytherin and gryffindor, absolutely you could be both!!

the sorting hat takes your preference into account after all, and if you think you fit into both slytherin and gryffindor, then that’s what you are!! a slytherdor, if you will 💚❤️
